• We have all had disputes with our taxi drivers, but according to the police, an East Village man decided to resolve his by simply driving the cab himself. And he did so, the police say, right into a pole. For unknown reasons, the man, Michael Findley, 31, punched out his taxi driver early Sunday on the Lower East Side and drove the cab around until crashing near Union Square, the police said.
