A method, system, and computer program product for providing a service offering to an IT services provider client and managing the capabilities of the IT services provider is provided. In one embodiment a market is organized into market framework components. The resources of the IT services provider are organized into capability blocks each of which is associated with a respective market framework component. When a customer problem is received or determined, the customer problem is separated into customer market framework components. Abstract:

A phacoemulsification system is provided, including an ultrasonic phacoemulsification handpiece and a handpiece driver. A handpiece simulator is provided to analyze the performance characteristics of the handpiece driver. The simulator is selectively coupled in a feedback loop with the driver so as to receive drive signals from the driver and return a feedback signal to the driver in the same manner as a handpiece. The simulator detects the frequency and voltage characteristics of the signal provided by the handpiece driver and on the basis thereof generates a feedback signal for return to the handpiece driver. The simulator can exercise the response of the driver dynamically by controllably varying the frequency of the feedback signal. The simulator may be constructed in either analog or microprocessor-based form. In the latter case, the microprocessor can determine whether the drive signals are within acceptable limits, and displays to the user the nature of unacceptable performance.

Abstract:

A reel-to-reel aerosol collection and storage system for capturing and storing a plurality of separate samples of aerosol particles using electrostatic precipitation technology for collecting such particles onto a tape mechanism for analysis at a future time. The particles are collected onto a region of the collection tape for a defined period of time and then that portion of the collection tape is advanced out of the collection zone and manipulated so as to form sealed pouches or pockets which can be either severed from the collection tape for individual storage in a temperature controlled storage container, or which can be stored on a take-up reel in a temperature controlled environment. The collected aerosol particles are stored with a buffer fluid to preserve and maintain the viability of the collected particles for future extraction and analysis. Several embodiments for forming sealed pouches or pockets and methods of storing the collected particles are disclosed.
