Abstract:

The present invention is a decorative water display including a low maintenance aquatic animal basin capable of supporting aquatic animals such as fish by using a specially designed filter which cooperates with a hollow base of a water sculpture, a water pump, and a basin containing water. This arrangement allows a water display with a water sculpture such as a statuette or rock formation to provide a decorative environment for supporting aquatic animals which is clean and odor free, which does not endanger the aquatic animals, and which has the unexpected result of requiring very low maintenance or de minimus maintenance.

Abstract:

A method and apparatus fulfill a periodical subscription to a consumer, where the periodical subscription includes a predetermined number of issues and associated delivery dates. The method and apparatus receive a subscription order for a periodical having a plurality of issues deliverable to the consumer at a consumer premise; and generate a subscription order voucher for redeeming an interim periodical issue prior to the consumer receiving delivery of a first issue of the subscription at the consumer premises from a fulfillment house. The voucher includes authorization for a retail location to provide the interim issue of the periodical subscription to the consumer upon presentation. The subscription agent communicates subscription information associated with the consumer to the fulfillment house following one of redemption of the voucher by the consumer for the interim issue or a predetermined time having elapsed.

A system for promoting business leads for authors of literature to a consumer by a document service provider (DSP) that stores and manages the literature via the Internet, where the consumer has a computer device for accessing product information via the Internet at a website of a product service provider (PSP). The system includes at least one computer device operable to receive, via the Internet, profile information of the consumer from the PSP while the consumer is reviewing product information from the website of the PSP; identify, at the DSP, a corresponding document associated with a product being viewed at the website of the PSP by the consumer; present, on the consumer computer device, a lead promotional web page that includes an offer by the DSP to the consumer for the corresponding document; and deliver the corresponding document to the consumer in response to receiving an acceptance of the offer.

Abstract:

A decorative unitary aquarium liner for simulating a scene underwater comprises a bottom and a diorama backdrop that are integrally combined to form a unitary aesthetic scene. The bottom and diorama backdrop may be formed from the same sheet of material, such as thermoform plastic and the diorama backdrop may provide enclosures for accommodating aquarium water circulating conduits connected to pump and filter assemblies, aquarium aeration conduits and illumination accessories, if desired. The aeration outlet to the aquarium may pass through an orifice in the bottom portion of the aquarium liner. The aquarium liner may optionally incorporate side portions integrally combined with the bottom and diorama backdrop to form a multisided liner. The outer surface of the liner may have irregular contours to simulate a natural underwater environment. The unitary aquarium liner eliminates the need for sand and gravel presently used in most convention aquariums.
