A rack arm rotatably mounts to a cross bar of a rack system. Multiple cross sectional shape cross bars are accommodated, enabling use with different rack styles. The rack arm rotates into position to engage an item of gear placed in the rack for securing the gear item to the rack.
A rack for securing wheeled vehicles, particularly bicycles, includes wheel-receiving wells for receiving the front wheel of the vehicle and contacting the wheel at least at two points. A wheel-engaging arm, pivotally mounted to the rack, is pivoted upwardly and is extensible outwardly against a biasing element. The arm is adapted to engage the wheel of the bicycle at least at a third point for securely holding the vehicle.

Abstract:
A sports goggle includes double lens goggles having inner and outer lenses joined at their perimeter by an adhesive, such as silicone, to form an air cavity. A vent is formed on the outer lens to permit equalization of the air cavity with the environment. The vent includes a plug formed of a water impermeable and gas permeable material. An expansion member may insert within the plug to maintain the plug within the vent. In an alternative embodiment, a rivet having air channels formed therein secures a ring of permeable material to the lens.

Abstract:
Cycle portage apparatus and/or systems employing at least one removable, tire receiving means for retaining a cycle having at least two tires. One series of embodiments is directed to frames adapted to removably receive a tire receiving structure while another series of embodiments is directed to a specific type of such structure, namely, one or more tire trays, and frames optimized to receive them. The preferred applications for embodiments of the invention include transit vehicles having bumper mounted portage frames extending from such bumpers where the frames may be rotated from a stowed position to a deployed position in order to receive at least one cycle, usually a bicycle. Tire tray embodiments according to the invention are constructed from a material having greater resiliency than structural components of the frame.
Wheel Retention Device With Externally Rotatable Multi-Faceted Retention Ring
A wheel retention device includes a base adapted for mounting to a vehicle transport rack and a retention ring secured to the base. The base includes an open cavity having a central axis, the open cavity is sized to receive a portion of a wheel of the wheeled vehicle therein. The retention ring is securely mounted on the base and is adapted to discretely rotate generally around the central axis of the base so as to enclose the cavity and secure the wheel therein thereby securing the wheeled vehicle to the rack. The retention ring is discretely rotatable about the base through the engagement of an outer generally polygonal surface of the base and inner generally polygonal surface of the retention ring.
