Abstract:

An idler having an axis of rotation. The idler may include a hub with a flange. A plurality of rim members are positioned along a perimeter of the flange and have generally axially facing, opposite side surfaces. At least one of the side surfaces has a first interlocking formation. A clamping plate is connected to the flange. The clamping plate has a second interlocking formation coupled with the first interlocking formation. A dampening member interposes the first and second interlocking formations.

Abstract:

In a pinball machine a ball trough is provided for moving the ball between the drain hole and the shooter lane. The ball trough comprises a channel fixed to the playfield and has a first end adjacent the drain hole and a second end proximate to the shooter lane. A rotatable carrier is movable between a first position and a second position for carrying the ball from the channel to the shooter lane and has a load opening, an exit opening, and a passage therebetwen. The load opening is positioned adjacent to the second end when the carrier is disposed in the first position and the exit opening is disposed adjacent to the shooter lane when the carrier is disposed in the second position. The passage may have an arcuate surface on which the ball will ride as the carrier approaches the second position for urging the ball out the exit opening.

Abstract:

A method and system for the automated detection of lesions such as masses and/or tissue (parenchymal) distortions in medical images such as mammograms. Dense regions and subcutaneous fat regions within a mammogram are segmented. A background correction may be performed within the dense regions. Hough spectrum within ROIs placed in the breast region of a mammogram are calculated and thresholded using the intensity value. eta. in order to increase sensitivity and reduce the number of false-positive detections. Lesions are detected based on the thresholded Hough spectra. The thresholded Hough spectra are also used to differentiate between benign and malignant masses.

Abstract:

A machine having a powertrain including an engine operably connected to a torque converter and a transmission. The machine includes a control system receive an activation signal indicative of an automatic mode operation of the machine and command the torque converter to remain in a direct-drive mode while the transmission shifts from a first gear ratio to a second gear ratio. The control system also limits engine speed below a first engine speed limit when a gear ratio setting of the transmission is indicative of the second gear ratio.
