Health minister Mohammad Nasim and chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on social affairs ministry Mozammel Hossain attended the function as special guests. State minister for social welfare Nuruzzaman Ahmed chaired the session.
We are accepting it showing respect for the court, and we have no alternative to accepting the judgment, said party spokesperson Mohammad Nasim, Though people's expectation has not been reflected in the verdict, and we also wanted capital punishment.
"We stop studying today and come to street to register our protest over desecration of Muslim holy book, the infidel who committed this crime and set on fire the holy book of Quran must be brought to justice and should be punished,"an Afghan student Mohammad Nasim said.
