Abstract:
The invention is directed to systems and methods for enhancing the ability of a power delivery system to withstand the occurrence of multiple failure events. Specifically, the invention is directed to a power delivery system employing a web-type network topology for a generator bus where at least two power generating sources, such as generators, are connected by an external ring, wherein the external ring is comprised of a plurality of ring segments. A first set of cables connects each power generating element with a central point and a second set of cables connects the center of each ring segment with the central point, wherein power is deliverable to the central point via at least one of the external ring, first set of cables and the second set of cables. Additional internal rings of cables may also be utilized to connect the first and second sets of cables.

The invention relates to a system and method for executing a scanning procedure comprising the steps of generating CT image data for a scan, generating CT attenuation correction data for the scan, acquiring a current frame of PET data for the scan in a 3D format, and simultaneously conducting the following steps: reconstructing at least a portion of a PET image for the current frame, including the step of overlapping a portion of the current frame with an adjacent frame, and acquiring at least a portion of a next frame of PET data.

Abstract:
A system, method, and article of manufacture for guiding an end effector to a target position within a person are provided. The method includes generating a plurality of digital images of an interior anatomy of the person when the person has a predetermined respiratory state. The method further includes indicating a skin entry position on at least one of the digital images. The method further includes indicating the target position on at least one of the digital images. The method further includes determining a trajectory path based on the skin entry position and the target position. Finally, the method includes moving the end effector along the trajectory path toward the target position when the person has substantially the predetermined respiratory state.
