Abstract:
A method and system for the dynamic interactive display of digital images, comprising client and server applications working together over the Internet or over other similar modes of digital data transmission to collect, store, select, present, distribute and manage information for digital images, including photographs, pictures, videos, movies and other forms of digital media. The present invention achieves these functions through user-friendly dynamic interactive graphical user interfaces that are readily accessible over the Internet from a wide variety of devices used for digital communication.

Abstract:
A circuit which receives RGB and composite video and provides both RGB and composite merged outputs. Merging of RGB signals occur where the input composite signal is converted to RGB; and also, merging occurs of composite signals where the input RGB is converted to a composite signal. The circuit is particularly useful in a video overlay application. Notch filters are used both in the video path and keying path. The notch filters are centered at frequencies equal to the dot clock frequency of the RGB divided by integers where the result of this division falls within the chroma subcarrier spectrum.

Abstract:
A video processing system includes but structure, signal flow, and components to process and combine audio and video signals with improved power, cost-effectiveness, and flexibility. The system includes one or more input modules to convert input video signals to a predetermined format. A router routes converted video signals to selected ones of upstream processing cards, which perform video processing such as digital video effects, frame synchronization, non-linear editing, cascading, filtering, and the like. Signals from the upstream processing cards are directed to a switcher, which selectively mixes the upstream-processed signals. A switcher preview module may be provided to intermediately view signals provided by the switcher. The switcher is also attached to a series of downstream video processing cards, which may insert logos, add overlaying, and other suitable post-mixing functions. An output encoder converts signals from the downstream video processing cards into a desired output format, presenting these signals to I/O modules.

System And Method For Controlling Communications Between Subsystems
A communication control system provides dynamic centralized control of subsystem communications. In a preferred embodiment, a dedicated subsystem communications coordinator is coupled to a main control bus which is utilized for subsystem communication. The coordinator is further coupled to each subsystem for enabling subsystem communication. The coordinator preferably assigns each pending communication a time-based transfer-window channel designation which, while asserted on the control lines of the main control bus, signals corresponding enabled subsystems to transfer data. The coordinator further preferably monitors all subsystem communications for limiting message length and for continuously determining the most effective main control bus utilization according to current system-wide communications needs.
Current-Based Contention Detection And Handling System
A current-based contention detection and handling system, upon detection of excessive current being applied to a communicating subsystem, avoids potential system damage by preventing continued excessive current. In a preferred embodiment, a current sensor and a subsystem control unit are provided in each communicating subsystem. The subsystem control unit preferably includes a latch and control logic. A system coordinator is further preferably provided for directing recovery. Upon current sensor detection of excessive current to a subsystem bus driver, the subsystem control unit disables the bus driver and asserts an interrupt and fault line to alert the system coordinator. The system coordinator confirms the alert and, upon confirmation, a preferably resets both the subsystem and the subsystem control unit. The subsystem control unit preferably includes a latch and control logic.
System And Method For Identifying And Configuring Modules Within A Digital Electronic Device
A system and method for identifying and configuring modules within a digital electronic device comprises a coordinator device coupled to the electronic device, functional modules coupled to the coordinator device for performing selected device functions, identifiers each uniquely associated with a corresponding one of the functional modules and configuration drivers which each correspond to one of the identifiers, whereby the coordinator may read the identifiers and execute the corresponding configuration drivers to configure the functional modules.
