Philosophy:

Dr. Tseng specializes in gynecologic oncology and pelvic surgery and is the Chief Medical Officer of Compass Oncology. He is a gifted surgeon and a pioneer in minimally invasive surgery. In 1990, he performed the first laparoscopic hysterectomy in Oregon. Later, in 2008, he and his colleagues were first to use robotic surgery to treat gynecologic cancers. Today, he is active in training young surgeons and advancing clinical trials research for gynecologic cancers. Among Dr. Tsengs many strengths is his ability to listen to his patients, to think about them long-term and help them become active, confident participants in decision-making for their care. Dr. Tseng is married and the father of three children. He enjoys snowboarding, is an avid bike rider and has participated in medical missions in Honduras, Niger and Mexico.
