Abstract:

Methods and materials for modulating low light and/or shade tolerance, and red light specific responses in plants are disclosed. For example, nucleic acids encoding low light and/or SD+EODFR-tolerance polypeptides are disclosed as well as methods for using such nucleic acids to transform plant cells. Also disclosed are plants having increased low light and/or SD+EODFR tolerance. In addition, methods and materials involved in increasing UV-B tolerance in plants and methods and materials involved in modulating biomass levels in plants are provided.

Abstract:

An acquisition and tracking sensor includes a quad detector with a narrow field of view (NFOV) and a micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) mirror with a wide field of view (WFOV). The quad detector is placed behind the MEMS mirror to produce a WFOV to allow the quad detector to scan a larger area for the incoming laser beam.

Abstract:

This disclosure relates to the field of electric vehicles (EV) that run, at least in part, on an electric motor. Included on the EV is an on board charger (OBC) responsible for charging a battery supply based on electronic power received from a source. The OBC is configured to detect certain voltage or current characteristics during a charging operation of the battery supply, and adjust allowed operational limits for the OBC accordingly.
