Behind that plain brown wooden door, a jury of 12 men and women was meeting to decide whether Shayna Hubers committed murder when she shot and killed Ryan Poston, her on-and-off boyfriend, the night of Oct. 12, 2012. They had heard nine days of exhaustive testimony, and there was no way of knowing hPoston's family lingered in the courtroom for a few minutes, crying and hugging each other. They thanked Commonwealth's Attorney Michelle Snodgrass, Highland Heights Police Chief Bill Birkenhauer, and Snodgrass' staff "for believing in Ryan Poston," as one woman was overheard telling Birkenhauer.Ryan Poston's family filed out of the courtroom en masse, pausing for a moment to brace themselves for the barrage of TV cameras waiting in the lobby. His two sisters walked together, holding hands and crying. Family and friends formed a protective circle around his mother, Lisa.
