Abstract:

A smart phonebook search method comprises collecting, from a customer, a phone number to use for a dial-up connection, filtering any national direct dialing prefix from the collected number, obtaining a country code from an operating system of the smart phonebook search, matching a pattern of a prefix of the collected number with area codes for a country of the customer to provide a closest entry for said connection, and selecting a phone number for said dial-up connection, the phone number having a customer provided area code and the operating system provided country code.

The present invention relates to a system and method for a retail collaboration network platform. In some embodiments, the system and method for a retail collaboration network platform includes a portal which the user is able to log in to via a network. The system includes connectivity to a plurality of retailer and vendor analytic tools. These analytic tools may include tools for promotion analysis, price optimization, product assortment, and market analysis. In addition to analytic tools, the platform may include collaborative tools which may interface with the analytic tools. These collaborative tools enable retailers and vendors to work together and with partners to share information and develop and implement strategies based on analytic tools to achieve their respective business objectives. The collaborative tools may be enabled to create at least one workgroup, generate a contact list, monitor the workgroup and contact list for activity and display any such activity. Abstract:

Methods and devices for managing establishment of a communications link between an external instrument (EI) and an implantable medical device (IMD) are provided. The methods and devices comprise storing, in memory in at least one of the IMD or the EI an advertising schedule defining a pattern for advertisement notices. The advertisement notices are distributed un-evenly and separated by unequal advertisement intervals. The method transmits, from a transmitter in at least one of the IMD or the EI the advertisement notices. The advertisement notices are distributed as defined by the advertising schedule. The method establishes a communication session between the IMD and the EI.

Abstract:

An implantable medical device (IMD) that includes a transceiver configured to broadcast an advertising data packet that includes a unique identifier, and to receive a scan request data packet from an external device. A memory stores program instructions, and stores an approved device list, and one or more processors are configured to execute the program instructions to identify a device identifier (ID) from the scan request data packet received, apply an advertising filter to determine if the scan request data packet is from an authorized external device based on the device ID and the approved device list, based on the determination by the advertising filter, deny transmission of a scan response data packet from the transceiver when the advertising filter determines that the scan request data packet is from an unauthorized external device, and establish a communication session with an authorized external device independent of the scan request data packet.
