Abstract:

A water treatment device that chemically treats tidal water. The water may, if desired, be salt water or fresh water. The water treatment device is substantially cylindrical with paddles extending outward from central hubs. The paddles are T-shaped and are perforated. The perforation aids in water treatment by aerating the water as the tide movement turns the paddles. The water treatment device has a central perforated tray that is slidably insertable into the central hubs. The central hubs are open in the center to permit the aerated water from the paddles to come in contact with the water treatment chemicals in the central tray. The perforations of the central tray allow the water treatment chemicals to come into contact with the surrounding area to treat the tidal water.

Abstract:

A surgical instrument includes an elongated member connected to both a suction device for removing excised tissues and fluids and to a source of pressurized fluid. The member has an inner and outer wall with a hollow lumen extending the length of the member which connects a variably shaped ostium, extending through both walls of the member, to the suction means. The member also has peripheral channels extending the length of the member which connect the fluid source to the ostium through slits in the perimeter of the ostial wall. The slits collectively extend almost the full perimeter of the ostial wall. The slits are preferably designed so that as pressurized fluid is ejected from any point along a slit across the ostium, the fluid will come in contact with an opposing spray of fluid ejected from an opposing point in an opposing slit. The two sprays simultaneously applied across the ostium prevent the tissue from being pushed away by either spray, which in conjunction with a suction force, act to hold the tissue within the ostium as it is cut. Slit-type openings impart superior tissue cutting features compared to the nozzle-type openings of prior art devices because the cutting surface of the spray is elongated.

Abstract:

Electronic medical records have to evolve from the isolated hospital systems or insurance company owned storage data silos based on a binary code accessed by patients through portals to the patient themselves becoming the data silo with portals to which all hospital systems or insurance companies send data for storage and future access. Transfer processes for binary or non-binary data systems facilitate data into patient centered servers, which combine source of origination codes. Combining the patient specific genome sequence with binary data generates a 3D data set which has more information than each data set alone. The patient's binary code represents the externally expressed DNA sequence. From this combination, future medical events can be predicted. Also, the system enables bidirectional data transfer so that health systems no longer need to maintain expensive data silos which are incomplete.
