Abstract:

A system and method is provided for automatically dispensing paint from an industry standard paint container to maintain a given level of paint in a paint roller tray. An upwardly open vessel, containing a lower surface and a plurality of walls, houses a valve actuator, which contacts a dispensing lid to release paint from an industry standard paint container. The lower surface of the upwardly open vessel is further divided into a lower, paint reservoir surface and an upper, shallow surface. An elevated surface is formed over the paint reservoir surface to support an inverted dispensing lid attached to an industry standard paint container. The dispensing lid contains an inner spring-like flange, which allows the dispensing lid to be attached to an industry standard paint container. The dispensing lid further contains a valve. When the dispensing lid, and attached paint container are inverted and placed upon the elevated surface of the upwardly open vessel, the valve actuator comes into contact with the valve.

An Exhaust Gas Recirulation (EGR) valve is integrated onto a turbocharger by providing an EGR outlet in a flange in the volute of the turbine housing and a mating valve assembly extending from a mating flange with an elbow. The outlet direction of the elbow is adjustable to a plurality of directions by positioning the mating flange relative to the EGR outlet flange.

Abstract:

A double sided 360Â thrust bearing having oppositely oriented interlocking elements each with an open segment and an elevated segment is assembled over a thrust collar on the shaft interconnecting the turbine wheel and compressor wheel of a turbocharger. Bearing pads on the front surface and rear surface of the mated interlocking elements and on the oppositely oriented elevated segments engage reaction surfaces in a channel on the thrust collar. Lubrication channels in the mating faces of the interlocking elements provide oil to the bearing pads on the front and rear surfaces of the bearing while interconnecting lubrication conduits provide oil to the bearing pads on the elevated segments.

Abstract:

A charge air condensation separation system for a turbocharged engine, especially suited for engines employing EGR, includes a turbocharger having a compressor providing charge air with a charge air cooler connected to the compressor to cool the charge air. A charge air delivery duct is connected to an outlet of the charge air cooler and a torroidal trap having an annular inlet is disposed in the charge air delivery duct with a sump for collecting condensation integral to the torroidal trap. A drain line for removing condensation from the sump for expulsion to the atmosphere is connected to the trap and a pump or other device for overcoming pressure differential in the drain line is employed in certain embodiments. For EGR systems employing a mixer, the condensation separator can be incorporated adjacent to or integral with the mixer to minimize additional volume requirements in the engine compartment.

Abstract:

The invention is directed to techniques for notifying a client device of the occurrence of an event using a web application activated based on an application-state data record. A persistent process monitors incoming data for the occurrence of an event and provides the application-state data record that can be used to activate a session of an event notification application. The persistent process provides an event indicator to a proxy browser which then activates the event notification application. The event notification application provides an event notification to the proxy browser, which in turn provides an audio notification of the event to the client device, which may be a telephony device or other two-way audio communication device. The user of the client device can then respond to the event notification or otherwise interact with the event notification application via the proxy browser.

Abstract:

Ultrasound information for B-mode and CW Doppler mode use the same digital beamformer. Due to sigma-delta conversion or over sampling, sufficient dynamic range is provided for the desired bandwidth. By mixing the input ultrasound information to base band before conversion, additional dynamic range may be provided. The electrical impedance may be better matched to elements by connecting a different number of sigma-delta converters to an element. Elements with lower impedance may be connected to a plurality of sigma-delta converters. To increase the aperture size for elements with a higher impedance, the same sigma-delta converters may be used as separate receive beamformer channels without the summation.
