Abstract:

A disk drive resumes supplying audio information without the hesitation normally attributed to disk access time. Initially, an indication is received that the disk drive should be deactivated. Next, audio information is stored from a beginning position, where audio information was last provided, to a resume position. Then, the resume position at which the disk drive should begin retrieving audio information, when the disk drive is reactivated, is stored. Finally, the disk drive is deactivated. In this manner, when the disk drive is reactivated, the stored audio information is supplied without the hesitation normally attributed to the disk access time of the disk drive.

Abstract:

The present invention provides a method and a system for determining whether a target component of an electronic assembly is assembled correctly. The method of the present invention involves correlating the view of a test electronic assembly with both a positive control image and a negative control image. The positive control image is an image of an electronic assembly that has been assembled properly, whereas the negative control image is an image of an electronic assembly that has been assembled improperly. If the correlation between the test image and the positive control image is greater than the correlation between the test image and the negative control image, the test assembly is assembled properly. On the other hand, if the correlation between the test image and the negative control image is greater than the correlation between the test image and the positive control image, the test assembly is assembled improperly.

A key fob is provided that includes a housing, a key function operative with a vehicle ignition for allowing operation of the vehicle, and a communication link for allowing communication between the key fob and the vehicle. The key fob also includes memory storing audio files. The audio files may be downloaded or streamed to a vehicle via the communication link. The memory may further store saved audio file information, such as music identifiers, provided on board the vehicle and downloaded to the key fob upon initiation by a user.

Abstract:

Methods for searching within one's social network for business leads and the presentation and facilitation of introduction requests associated therewith are provided. In particular, a user may log into a website to search their social network based on introduction parameters. In response, a set of introducers who can connect the user to individuals matching the introduction parameters are provided and stored. Subsequently, an indication is presented to each introducer such that each introducer is made aware that the user is requesting an introduction to someone within the respective introducer's network. Upon viewing the indication, the introducer may select an individual matching the introduction parameters and transmit to that individual an introduction request.

A method for managing business introductions includes retrieving unfiltered data generated by a professional networking service and filtering a plurality of business connections to generate a filtered list of business connections. The filtered list of connections to send to an end user device, and a selected connection is subsequently received. The method further includes generating a draft message to a business contact requesting an introduction to the selected connection and sending the draft message to the end user device. Once a revised message is received from the end user device, a server sends the revised message to the business contact.
