Abstract:

A mounting system for mounting a sign, such as a sheet or a panel to a generally horizontal shelf includes a display portion including an arm forming a portion of and defining a sign receiving region. The display portion includes a display hinge portion defining an axis of rotation. The display portion further includes a detent spaced from the axis of rotation, defining a radially distal-most portion. A shelf mounting bracket mounts the display portion to the shelf. The shelf mounting bracket includes a pivoting element cooperating with the display hinge portion for pivotally mounting the display portion to the shelf mounting bracket. The display portion is pivotal between a first position and a second position. The shelf mounting bracket includes a flexible tongue configured to engage the detent to maintain the display portion in the first or second position and to disengage from the detent to move the display portion to the other of the first or second position.

Abstract:

A sign support system supports a graphic from a storage rack that has upper and lower horizontal support members that define a first plane. The sign support system includes a mounting member for mounting to the lower horizontal support member. The mounting member has a shelf mount and hinge portion and is configured such that when the mounting member is mounted to the lower support member, the hinge portion is displaced from the first plane. An elongated arm has a hinge portion and a graphic support terminating at a free end. The hinge portion is configured for pivotally mounting to the mounting member for pivoting the sign between first and second positions. Adhering elements are disposed on the elongated arm at about the free end. When in the first position, the free end is disposed adjacent the upper horizontal support member with the adhering elements engaging the upper support member securing the arm in the second position. When the adhering member is disengaged from the upper support member, the arm hinge portion is disposed between the mounting member and a vertical line extending from a center of gravity of the sign such that sign falls to the second position by the force of gravity.

Abstract:

A two-position vertically adjustable sign system is used for mounting display media to an associated vertically oriented rack or shelf. The adjustable sign system includes a frame having upper and lower frame members for supporting the media. The system further includes mounting brackets for mounting to the shelf or rack. Each bracket defines an opening therein and has an engaging wall that extends from a rear portion of the bracket inwardly of the opening. A slide beam is associated with each mounting bracket, and is fixedly connected to the frame at the upper and lower frame members. Each beam is slidingly received in its respective mounting bracket opening for vertically adjusting the frame between a display position and a storage position. The beams each include an engaging flange extending from a rear portion thereof for engagement with its respective bracket engaging wall to maintain the frame in the display position. Each beam further includes an upper end termination portion to secure to the frame and to maintain the frame in the storage position and a lower termination portion for securing to the frame.

Abstract:

A biased-assisted sign mounting system for mounting an associated sign to an associated structure includes a mount portion configured for attaching to the structure, an arm mounted to the mount portion and having a pivot portion defining a pivot axis about the mount portion, and a biasing element operably connected to the mount portion and to the arm. The mount and arm each have a biasing element capturing portion at which the biasing element is captured. The biasing element is moveable between a more stressed state and a less stressed state. The arm is pivotal between first and second positions and is stopped at the first and second positions by engagement with the mounting portion. The arm is secured into the first and second positions by the biasing element tending toward the less stressed state and, when the arm is disposed between the first and second positions, the biasing element is urged into the more stressed state.

A display rack for displaying displayed items can be an opaque cabinet with a light source located in the opaque cabinet. The cabinet has a transparent light pipe having a light accepting end and a light emitting end, connected by a light conducting body having an index of refraction that transmits light from the light accepting end to the light emitting end. The cabinet has at least a first tray having an item display portion for holding the displayed item and a second tray having an opaque bottom wall and an opaque front portion configured to operably connect the light accepting end of the transparent light pipe to the light source and maintains the light emitting end of the light pipe in a position where the light emitted by the light emitting end illuminates the card holding portion of the first tray.

Abstract:

A display having mating door sections includes a frame, upper and lower parallel, spaced apart door mounts affixed to the frame, and doors mounted to the frame between the door mounts for securing panels thereto. The door mounts each include openings in vertical alignment with one another for mounting the doors. Each door is mounted to the display frame, between the upper and lower door mounts. Each door has first and second mating door sections joined to one another at a mating juncture. The mating door sections each have a raised rim around a rear portion and upper and lower edges of the sections defining a central recessed region. The recessed region has a plurality of apertures therein, each defining a raised sleeve portion and an opening therein. Each door includes upper and lower pivot pins at about the rear portion at the upper and lower rims respectively. The pivot pins extend transversely from the upper and lower rims and are configured for insertion into the door mount openings for pivotal movement of the doors.

Abstract:

A sign mounting system for mounting at least two signs portions to an associated structure mounts the sign portions in an aligned manner so that separate sign portions appear as a single sign. The mounting system includes a plurality of sign mounts, one sign mount for each of the sign portions. Each of the sign mounts is configured to support a sign portion. Each sign mount includes first and second brackets and an arm associated with each bracket. The arms pivot about the brackets at a pivot axis. The first and second brackets have oppositely, outwardly facing surfaces. The outwardly facing surface of the first bracket has a first mating element thereon and the outwardly facing surface of the second bracket has a second mating element thereon. The second mating element of the second bracket of the first sign mount is configured to mate with the first mating element of the first bracket of the second sign mount to maintain the two sign portions aligned with one another.

Abstract:

A hinge mounting assembly for an associated door panel is used for mounting to a panel to a storage rack. The rack generally includes at least one post having a front face and a side face. The front face has slots therein and the door panel generally has at least one bore defined therein. The hinge mounting assembly has a post plate and a door clamping member. The post plate has a hinge portion with a first end and a second end. The first end has bearing surfaces and an intermediate helical bearing surface. A door clamping member is pivotally mounted to the post plate. The door clamping member has a hinge post with a bearing surfaces and a helical bearing surface. The helical bearing surfaces enable the hinge mounting assembly to be âself closingâ as well as reversibly mounted to the post.
