Abstract:

Disclosed herein is a tape locking device for tape measures. The tape locking device comprises a locking lever hinged to an upper portion of the wall of the housing in such a way to be rotated frontward and rearward around a hinged joint, and provided with a connecting piece downwardly extending from the locking lever. A cylinder is connected at its first end to a hole formed at the lower portion of the connecting piece, with a coil spring fitted over the cylinder. A wedge-shaped stopper is connected to the second end of the cylinder, and having a desired frictional force. This stopper is elastically biased by the coil spring to be wedged in the gap between the outer circumferential surface of a wound part of the tape around the bobbin and a linear part of the tape led to the slot when releasing the locking lever after drawing a desired length of tape from the slot, so the drawn tape is automatically locked by frictional contact between the stopper surface and the drawn tape surface.

Abstract:

A tape measure includes an automatic blade extension mechanism. The tape measure allows a user to draw and lock a blade using only one hand, when measuring a dimension of an object, thus allowing the other hand to be freely used in a workplace where several operations must be carried out. Abstract:

A machine utilizing gravity to reduce costs when rolling a food dough casing around a sausage. The machine includes first, second, and third conveyors, a carrier, and a pusher block. The third conveyor is disposed to one side of the carrier, and is rotatably affixed to a horizontal surface. The second conveyor is rotatably affixed above the third conveyor. The pusher block is disposed to the other side of the carrier, is slidably affixed to the horizontal surface, and pushes the sausage towards the carrier, initially. The first conveyor is rotatably affixed above the pusher block, and conveys the food dough casing initially, and thereafter, the food dough casing falls downwardly by the gravity. The carrier is disposed between the pusher block and the third conveyor, is rotatably affixed to the horizontal surface, and relays a partially food dough cased sausage to between the second conveyor and the third conveyor.

Abstract:

A tape measure is disclosed which includes speed control device which allows the user to control the speed at which the extended tape is retracted into the housing. The housing defines a chamber and has a peripheral wall with a slot-shaped opening. A coiled tape blade within the housing is attached at it's interior end to a spring which allows automatic retraction of the tape into the housing. The speed control device is attached to the outside of the housing above the slot shaped opening. Another opening in the housing exposes the tape so that a roller controlled by pressure from the speed control device will make contact with the tape in the event the user exerts pressure on the device. Said device is unaffected by various environmental conditions such as saw dust, particulate contamination or moisture. A handle is attached to the rear end of the housing, opposite to the speed control device, to facilitate manipulation and use of the tape measure.

Abstract:

A combination tape measure and light bulb assembly disclosed. A light bulb assembly is affixed to the free end of a semi rigid tape measure. A strip of electrically conductive material is applied to the bottom of the tape measure, with various electrical switching mechanisms described to connect this strip of material to a source of electric current, and thereby light the bulb whenever required by the operator. The light bulb assembly includes a reflector plate for increasing illumination coming from the bulb, and a clear plastic shield for the bulb. The light bulb assembly can also include a magnet to further add to the utility of the combination.

Abstract:

A new and improved automobile refrigerator comprising, in combination, an automobile dashboard having an exterior surface with a recess formed therein. A door is positioned over the recess to selectively open and close the recess. A hinge couples the lower edge of the door with the lower edge of the recess to allow the pivoting of the door to provide or prohibit access to the space within the recess interior of the dashboard. A box in the recess behind the door has upper and lower walls, side walls and a rear wall in the box-like configuration with an opening in the front of the walls terminating at the dashboard. Thermal insulation is located along all of the walls including the front door to abate the flow of thermal energy to and from the space within the box. A rectangular gasket is formed on the interior surface of the door adapted to contact the dashboard adjacent to the periphery of the opening. Flexible connectors have upper ends coupled to the box at upper extents thereof.

Abstract:

A system described herein provide for the secure maintaining and providing of information, such as public keys used in Public Key Infrastructure (“PKI”) techniques or other techniques, using a secure distributed ledger (e.g., “blockchain”) system. A blockchain system may be utilized in lieu of a key escrow system in the exchange and/or providing of public keys in a Diffie-Hellman key exchange technique or other type of technique in which public keys are provided from one entity to another. A first entity may generate an asymmetric key pair that includes a public key and a private key, and may provide the public key to a blockchain system for retrieval by one or more other entities. For example, the entities may be engaged in a secure messaging session, in which messages are encrypted and may be decrypted using one or more keys, including the public key.
