Abstract:
A virtual record manager and a data exchange engine are provided for dynamically defining data records in a database and for dynamically allocating instances of defined data records. These components are capable of mediating between the database and application and client interface layers to facilitate exchange of information over a network. Embodiments are configured to allow complex data records having a plurality of related fields, and to allow management and exchange of information at both the data field level and data record level.

System For Handling A Broken Uniform Resource Locator
Peterson Walker - San Jose CA, US Pavan Mandava - San Ramon CA, US Ajit Shah - San Jose CA, US Eldho Syriac - San Jose CA, US Chun-Wu Chu - San Jose CA, US
A method and apparatus for receiving a request for a Uniform Resource Locator (URL), determining the URL is broken, retrieving query data from a first database mapping the broken URL to the query data and retrieving one or more substitute URLs from a second database mapping the broken URL to the query data.
Apparatus and methods are provided for mapping an interior surface of a section of a body lumen comprising a catheter having a plurality of elements circumferentially disposed around its distal end that contact the interior surface of a body lumen and provide output signals corresponding to the local diameter of the lumen. In a preferred embodiment, the contacts are of an electrical-mechanical type, such that an output signal may be generated which is proportional to the degree of deflection of the contact caused by the local diameter of the body lumen. The distal end of the catheter is translated through the body lumen for a predetermined distance, while the output signals are reproduced on either an analog recorder or as a digital three-dimensional display. A drive system for translating the catheter, and methods of use, are also provided.
Apparatus And Method For Localizing Prostheses Deployed In A Body Lumen
Apparatus and methods are provided for determining the location of a prosthesis previously deployed in a body lumen, and for effecting treatment associated with the prosthesis. The apparatus includes a catheter having a distal end region and at least one prosthesis locator sensor disposed on the distal end region. A therapeutic device may be provided either on the distal end region of the catheter or on a separate catheter which may be positioned over the distal end region. In one embodiment the therapeutic device is a balloon catheter, while the prosthesis locator sensor is a plurality of compliant and resilient fingers projecting perpendicularly from the circumference of the catheter. The plurality of fingers detect the presence of an edge of a prosthesis by direct electrical connection, or inductance or capacitance changes. Methods of localizing prostheses with the apparatus are also provided.

Abstract:
The invention provides apparatus and methods for mapping conduction pathways and creating transmural lesions in the heart wall for the treatment of atrial fibrillation. The apparatus may include at least one epicardial ablation probe having a plurality of electrodes for creating a transmural lesion. The apparatus and method facilitate the formation of a transmural lesion which electrically isolates the pulmonary veins from the surrounding myocardium without cutting or penetrating the pericardial reflections.
