Abstract:

A multi-component fascia assembly for refrigerator storage assemblies is provided. The fascia generally includes a face plate having a pair of end caps attached to the ends thereof. The fascia assembly can be attached to a support member to form a storage unit for a refrigerator. A refrigerator comprising a storage assembly having a multi-component fascia assembly also is provided. Additionally, a method of making a refrigerator storage assembly is provided and includes extruding an intermediate extrusion and cutting it to a predetermined length to form a face plate. The method also encompasses attaching end caps to the face plate to form a fascia which then can be attached to a support member to form a storage unit. One or more storage units can be formed and combined to create a refrigerator storage assembly.

Abstract:

A hinge conduit casing is provided for protecting and concealing service conduits passing from a refrigerator frame to a door mounted pivotally thereto. The casing comprises a pocket and an angular guide slidably engageable into the pocket. The pocket is affixed to the frame and the angular guide is mounted to the door. The angular guide has a pivot end mounted pivotally to the door and a receiving end insertable into the pocket. When the door is opened at an angle relative to the frame, the receiving end of the angular guide remains, at least in part, in the pocket to conceal and protect the service conduits passing therethrough.

Abstract:

An ice dispenser includes an ice chute door. The dispenser further includes a shaft coupled to the door, a motor coupled to the shaft, and a biasing device, such as a spring, coupled to the door. The motor rotates the shaft to open the door. To close the door, the motor is de-energized after a predetermined time period, and the biasing device then closes the door with a strong sealing force.

Abstract:

A refrigerator door hinge for a refrigerator having a door and a body frame includes a plate and a first bushing that provides horizontal adjustments and that is inserted into a hole in the plate. The hinge further includes a second bushing that provides vertical adjustments and that is inserted in an opening of the first bushing. The first bushing is further inserted into a base that includes an adjusting screw. Horizontal adjustments of the door relative to the body frame are made by rotating the adjusting screw. Vertical adjustments of the door relative to the body frame are made by rotating the second bushing.

Abstract:

A refrigerator has a machine compartment located at its top end. The refrigerator includes a drain tube and a pump coupled to the drain tube and located at the bottom end of the refrigerator. The pump transfers the accumulated condensation from the drain tube to a pan located at the top end of the refrigerator. The heat and airflow generated by the machine compartment then evaporates the condensation from the pan.

Abstract:

A ceiling fan () is disclosed having a motor housing () suspended through a downrod (). An electric motor () is mounted within the housing which drives an annular array of blade irons () each having a blade () mounted thereto. Each blade has three clearance or mounting hole () and a resilient annular grommet () is positioned within each mounting hole. Each blade iron () has a blade mounting portion () with a peripheral seat ()′ and three blade fasteners (). Each blade fastener is configured to pass through the fastener mounting hole and grommet. Each fastener has a neck () with an annular groove (), and a head () having a diameter larger than that of the neck. The head is positioned directly adjacent the groove so that contact between the head and the grommet forces a portion of the grommet into the annular groove.
