Abstract:
A method of using a mobile telephone network to provide a contest via handheld communication devices is provided. In one embodiment, information is made accessible via web site, email, print media, and/or television. Participants then register to compete in the contest. Next, for each participant the server or other system performs the steps of receiving a short message service message that indicates a first request for a question from a participant, transmitting a plurality of short message service messages that each include at least one question to the handheld communication device of the participant, receiving replies to the transmitted short message service messages that include answers of the participant, determining a score for the participant that comprises the number of correct answers received from the participant, and determining a response time for the participant. The participant having the highest score and smallest response time may be identified as the winner. The server may store a plurality of questions and randomly select a subset of the questions to be transmitted to each the participant.

Abstract:
A memory circuit for storing words of data has two memory banks each formed by a plurality of memory devices connected in parallel. In a first mode, the memory circuit responds to an initial request for access and an address signal by reading data from a storage location in one of the memory banks. Subsequent requests for access to contiguous storage locations do not require an address signal, instead a control mechanism responds by generating an address to read data alternately from storage locations in the first and second memory banks. In a second mode, the memory circuit responds to every request for access to the memory circuit by enabling access to the first or second memory bank as indicated by an address which accompanied the request. The memory devices of a given bank are erased and programmed in parallel. However, when a given storage location is found to contain one or more bits that were not erased, another erase command is sent to only those memory devices associated with a bit that was not erased.
A tool for programming non-volatile memory is embedded in the form of an object in a programmable controller module, and can be used to transfer a firmware program to a plurality of different modules connected by a common network. The tool can be placed in any type of module, and can be used to transfer a firmware program to any type of module, regardless whether the two module types are the same or different types. The firmware program is received in a first module from a user interface by way of a communication link, which may be relatively slow. The object is embedded in the first module and has a plurality of services and attributes which are adapted for transferring the firmware program to a plurality of target modules. The first module and the plurality of target modules are connected by way of the common network, which is preferably a high speed network. Thus, the time required to transfer the firmware program to the plurality of target modules is nominal once the firmware program is received in the first module.
Operating Slide Valves In Petrochemical Plants Or Refineries
A plant or refinery may include equipment such as condensers, regenerators, distillation columns, pumps, slide valves, or the like. Different operating methods may impact deterioration in equipment condition, thereby prolonging equipment life, extending production operating time, or providing other benefits. Mechanical or digital sensors may be used for monitoring equipment to determine whether problems are developing. Specifically, sensors may be used in conjunction with one or more system components to predict and detect slide valve sticking. A shielded, tube skin thermocouple assembly may provide a temperature profile for a slide valve. Tomography may be used to image a slide valve. An operating condition of the plant or refinery may be adjusted to prolong equipment life or avoid equipment failure.

Abstract:
The present application discloses endoscopy systems and devices for use therewith, wherein such systems and devices are designed for use in foreign body retrieval procedures. Moreover, the present application discloses methods of retrieving foreign bodies using the provided systems and devices. In one exemplary embodiment, a foreign body retrieval device capable for use with an endoscope is provided. The retrieval device comprises a housing and a capture tool disposed within and movable relative to the housing. The housing has a proximal end, a distal end, and at least one cavity. The proximal end of the housing is configured for attachment to the distal end of an endoscope and the distal end comprises an opening for at least partially receiving a foreign body in the at least one cavity. The capture tool defines an at least partially closeable aperture.

I survived leaving my home country literally within a days notice from my Mother. I survived coming to this country at the young age of 11 with my oldest brother who was 14 at the time, "All alone". I survived the "hood' in Pinewood Ave, in West Palm Beach, Fl. I survived missing my "momy" for 18 years, 18 years of tears and wanting....I think I am over it...I graduated High School, went to college and now I have my Bachelor's degree and now July 7, 2011 I am going for my Master's. This is my legacy all credits go to my 'Momy" for her struggle and devotion to say no to a regime and said not my sons, you deserve better....I will always Honor my mother with everything that I do and note, this is something will Instill on my children till I die.......
