Abstract:

A method of creating high-speed multi-color process images. The method includes providing at least two high operating frequency printheads which are capable of processing phase-change inks, providing at least two phase-change inks, providing a substrate, activating the printheads such that at least two inks pass therethrough, and passing the substrate under the printheads at a rate of at least about 1000 feet per minute so as at least one process image is formed on the substrate. The present invention also includes a process for achieving high-speed crockfast process printing on a material with phase-change ink. The process includes providing at least an array of printheads capable of processing phase-change inks at frequencies of at least about 20 kHz, providing a material, providing a material transport system capable of transporting the material under the printheads, providing a plurality of phase-change inks, transporting material under the array printheads at a speed of at least 1000 ft/min, and ejecting ink from at least two of the printheads onto the material so as to form an image.

Abstract:

A protective garment configured to facilitate easy donning of the garment is described. The garment includes one or more foreshortening structures within the garment that allows for the arms and legs to be shorted into a donning configuration. This allows the garment to be handled and donned by the wearer, without the wearer touching an exterior surface of the garment or allowing any portion of the garment to touch another surface. A method of preparing a protective garment for donning and a method of donning such a garment is also disclosed.

Abstract:

A multi-panel sterilization assembly that includes a barrier panel formed of a permeable material, a fold protection panel, and at least one panel attachment means. The barrier panel has a first end and a second end opposite the first end such that the barrier panel has a length that is the distance from the first end to the second end and a midpoint along the length generally delineating the barrier panel into a content receiving region and a content covering region. Panel attachment means are located between the first end and the midpoint of the barrier panel at a pre-determined position to identify the content receiving region. The fold protection panel is in juxtaposed communication with the barrier panel, and has a proximal end generally adjacent the barrier panel, a distal end generally opposite the proximal end, and a length that is the distance between these ends, such that, after the barrier panel has been folded at or near the barrier panel's midpoint so its second end is brought near its first end and its edges brought together and secured by the panel attachment means to form a package, the fold protection panel folds at or near the pre-determined fold line to cover at least a portion of the edges of the folded barrier panel.

Abstract:

A wide array of textile fabric substrates can be treated to improve the colorfastness and washfastness of ink jet ink formulations. The aqueous treatment formulations include between about 5-95% cationic polymers or copolymers, and between about 5-20% fabric softeners. Additionally, the formulations may also include between about 0-80% of a polymeric latex binder so as to increase washfastness. These percentages are based on a conventional measurement for solids content.

Abstract:

A relatively large splittable outer packaging includes a splitting structure along at least one side face panel, for separating two portions of the outer packaging into at least one relatively shorter outer package. Upon separation of the two portions, individually wrapped absorbent articles having sealed edges on the wrappers and that are contained in the outer packaging, are exposed at openings in the at least one relatively shorter outer package, for ease of dispensing.
