Abstract:

An asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) switch is configured to automatically generate Operations, Administration and Management (OAM) cells for a loopback test at a first connection whenever the first connection is not receiving user data traffic. The ATM switch may include a switch management module which generates the OAM cells that are transmitted from the first connection whenever a control processor initiates the loopback test.

Abstract:

Provided is an apparatus that includes an integrated circuit (IC) mounted on a chip carrier. The IC has one or more differential pair circuits coupled thereto and the chip carrier has a signal escaping portion and a remaining portion. The apparatus also includes differential signal lines coupled to the differential pair circuits, the differential signal lines (i) extending through the chip carrier and (ii) having first and second segments. The first segment extends through the escaping portion and the second segment extends through the remaining portion. The first and second segments have respective first and second widths.

Abstract:

A camera includes a set of sensing elements. Each sensing element is arranged at an image plane in an energy field to measure a magnitude and sign of a local gradient of the energy field. Each sensing element includes at least two energy intensity sensors. Each energy sensor measures a local intensity of the energy field. Logarithms of the intensities are subtracted from each other to obtain the magnitude and sign of the gradients. A Poisson equation is solved using the gradients to obtain an output image of the energy field.

Abstract:

Techniques for disabling a sensor are described. In an example, the techniques include receiving input data indicating a request to disable a sensor of the device. Based on the input data, the sensor is disabled by at least decoupling the sensor from a power source and decoupling the sensor from an input terminal of a processor of the device. The techniques also include sending, to a plurality of clients that are implemented on the device and that are configured to receive sensor data generated by the sensor, notification data indicating that the sensor is disabled. Further, the techniques include outputting, by a user interface of the device, an indication that the sensor is disabled.

Abstract:

A method for generating a trajectory based on an input trajectory formed by points representing spatial coordinates for a numerically controlled (NC) process determines a plurality of sequences of the points and determines, for each sequence, local costs of each point in the input trajectory. Each sequence is formed by removing a unique combination of points from the input trajectory and the local cost of a point for a sequence is determined based on a spatial arrangement of the point with respect to at least some of points in the sequence. For each sequence, a sum of corresponding local costs of each point in the input trajectory is determines and the trajectory is determined based on an optimal sequence with an optimal value of the sum of the local costs.
