Abstract:

The invention provides methods and systems useful for quickly and accurately sampling a switched capacitive load. Systems are disclosed in which the methods are implemented using an operational amplifier operably coupled to a pre-charge capacitor for storing an input charge. A sampling capacitor is also coupled to the operational amplifier and to the pre-charge capacitor for receiving and holding the input charge. The system is so configured for a coarse sampling phase and a fine sampling phase the to ensure that the sampling capacitor settles quickly to provides an output.

A chopper-stabilized amplifier (A) includes an amplifier (), an input chopper (A) having a first input () receiving an input signal (V), an output () coupled to a first input of the amplifier, and a feedback resistor () coupled to an output () of the amplifier to couple a feedback signal (V) to a second input of the amplifier (). The input chopper operates in response to a chopping clock (CHOP_CLK). Abstract:

A method for converting an analog signal to a digital signal is provided. Initially, a digital representation of a portion of an analog signal is generated. Residue of the analog signal is then sampled at a sampling instant so as to generate a residue sample. A signal having a frequency that is proportional to the voltage of the residue sample is generated, and the signal is measured to generate coarse and fine measurements of the frequency. A digital representation of the residue sample from the coarse and fine measurements is then generated.

A system, apparatus, and method are provided for connecting, configuring and testing new wireless devices and applications. For example, one embodiment of a computer-implemented method for enabling a trial wireless device comprises: automatically pre-provisioning one or more trial SIM cards for operation on a particular wireless cellular network on behalf of a prospective customer; automatically pre-configuring a trial wireless machine-to-machine (“M2M”) device on behalf of the prospective customer; wherein the trial M2M device includes testing and monitoring program code which, when the trial M2M device is connected to a computer system, performs the operations of: automatically connecting to the wireless cellular network execute a plurality of test operations for testing the SIM card and the trial M2M device, the test operations including determining whether the SIM card is correctly provisioned for the wireless network; determining whether the trial M2M wireless device is operating properly; and determining the existence of wireless data connectivity.
