The present invention provides an absorbent core structure comprising storage cells and acquisition cells that is useful, for example, for disposable absorbent garments. Within the storage cells of the absorbent core structure is disposed a quantity of superabsorbent material. The acquisition cells are devoid of superabsorbent material or other materials that would impede the movement of liquid therethrough and are preferably open. The acquisition cells can thus function as channels that allow liquids to be freely distributed within the absorbent core structure by mass flow and/or capillary action, thus helping to prevent gel blocking.
Systems, Methods, And Devices For Cation-Associating Fuel Cell Components
Improved membrane electrode assemblies, cation-associating components thereof, and methods of making and treating the same are provided. Membrane electrode assemblies may include an ionomer having a first pKa value, and a water-insoluble net polymer having a weakly-acidic functional group, wherein the weakly-acidic functional group has a second pKa value greater than the first pKa value.
Assessing material strength for additive manufacturing is provided. The method comprises calibrating a baseline electrical resistivity of a multi-phase additive material for a set dislocation density as a function of phase fraction and phase composition, wherein individual phases of the material have different electrical resistivity values. After the additive material has undergone a number of heating and cooling cycles during additive manufacturing the additive material is characterized for phase fraction, phase composition, and electrical resistivity. Dislocation density of the additive material is then determined according to electrical resistivity after additive manufacturing, accounting for effects of phase fraction and phase composition determined by characterization.
