Abstract:
A battery-power distribution unit comprises two printed circuit assembly bus units that carry eight pairs of  screw terminal connections and their associated GMT-type fuses. Each A-side and B-side bus unit needs only one pair of heavy cables that feed it power inside a RETMA-rack cabinet. Heavy-duty foil buses etched on the printed circuit boards on both sides are reinforced with tinned copper flat bar to increase the current carrying capacity.

Abstract:
An SNMP network comprises a power manager with an SNNP agent in TCP/IP communication over a network with an SNMP network manager. The power manager is connected to control several intelligent power modules each able to independently control the power-on/off status of several network appliances. Power-on and load sensors within each intelligent power module are able to report the power status of each network appliance to the SNMP network manager with MIB variables in response to GET commands. Each intelligent power module is equipped with an output that is connected to cause an interrupt signal to the network appliance being controlled. The SNMP network manager is able to test which network appliance is actually responding before any cycling of the power to the corresponding appliance is tried.

Abstract:
A video hard copy controller includes first means for receiving serial input video signals from a first source. Second means is coupled to the first means for converting the serial input video signals into a first set of parallel digital signals. Third means is coupled to the second means for receiving the first set of parallel digital signals. The third means includes means for receiving a second set of parallel digital signals from a second source and means responsive to a control signal for selecting between the first and second sets of parallel digital signals for output to a hard copy generating device in order to produce a hard copy fascimile of the images represented by the selected set of parallel digital video signals.

Abstract:
A SNMP network comprises a power manager with a SNMP agent in TCP/IP communication over a network with a SNMP network manager. The power manager is connected to control several intelligent power modules each able to independently control the on/off power to several inter-networking devices in an equipment rack at a common remote node, e. g. , a point-of-presence site. Power-on and load sensors within each intelligent power module are able to report the power status of each inter-networking device to the SNMP network manager with MIB variables in response to GET commands. The SNMP network manager is further able to reboot each inter-networking device by cycling the power on/off to its respective intelligent power module with the SET command provided in conventional SNMP management applications.

Abstract:
A method for sensing the on/off status condition of a power switch in an appliance includes applying a series of alternating current (AC) voltage pulses to an appliance with an on/off switch that are synchronized to a source of AC power, sensing the presence of any series of AC current pulses that result if said appliance switch is closed, analyzing any AC current pulses detected in the step of sensing to determine if they resulted from the application of the AC voltage in the step of applying, and outputting an on/off status indication for the appliance switch.
