Abstract:

A water fountain diverter device connectable to a faucet for selectively directing water from a normal downward direction, to an upward direction for direct drinking by a user. The device has a body connectable to the faucet, a body inlet for receiving water from the faucet, an outlet through which water can flow un-diverted, and a spout from which a water stream flows for direct drinking when the water is diverted via a valve within the device.

Abstract:

An assurance system for evaluating a target application environment using a mixed environment including a virtual environment and the target environment. The assurance system emulates and evaluates the target environment. Information such as network configuration, interface information, and software packages or subsystems are imported into the virtual application environment. The assurance system may be used for purposes of testing, and delivering comprehensive reports of the likely results on the target system based on a comparison of the virtual application environment to the target environment, including such things as configuration changes to the environment, environment load and stress conditions, environment security, software installation to the environment, and environment performance levels among other things.

Abstract:

This invention relates to a block copolymer comprising: a) at least one first block of polymerized units of at least one first ethylenically unsaturated monomer and at least one latent thiol mercaptan chain transfer agent wherein the latent thiol mercaptan chain transfer agent has the general formula; ##STR1## wherein A is a polyvalent organic radical; x and y are positive integers such that x+y equals the valence of A; B is an organic acyl radical; and n and m are integers from 1 to 6; and b) at least one second block of polymerized units of at least one second ethylenically unsaturated monomer, wherein said at least one second block is attached to said at least one first block by reacting with terminal thiol functional groups contained on said at least one first block. In addition, this invention relates to the method of making this block copolymer.

This invention provides an improved process for the preparation of chloroalkynes from alkynyl alcohols. The chloroalkynes can be employed to prepare alkynyl amines which are useful for the manufacture of biologically active materials.
