A valve, includes a valve body comprising a bore having a first seal plate and a second, opposed seal plate, therein, the first seal plate including a first seal plate opening therethrough, a first port in fluid communication with the bore through the first seal plate opening, a second port in fluid communication with the bore, a third port in fluid communication with the bore, the second port disposed intermediate of the first and third ports, a bilateral sealing assembly comprising a tubular body having a first outer surface adjacent a first end face thereof, and a second outer surface adjacent a second end thereof opposite of the first end face. The bore includes a first inner cylindrical surface extending inwardly thereof from a first end thereof and a first tapered surface angled away from the first inner cylindrical surface, and a first inner cylindrical surface extending inwardly thereof from a first end thereof and a first tapered surface angled away from the first inner cylindrical surface, and with the first surface of the bilateral sealing sleeve in contact with the first seal plate, a first annular gap between the first outer surface of the bilateral sealing assembly and the first inner cylindrical surface.
Pressure Regulator With Reconfigurable Hydraulic Dampening
A pressure regulator includes a regulated fluid volume, at least one vent passage and fluid supply passage, a dampening piston bore and a regulated fluid volume outlet passage, a regulated fluid pressure piston having a first surface side exposed to the regulated fluid volume, and a second surface side exposed outwardly of the body, an external biasing member contactable with the piston and providing a force on the piston inwardly of the body, a gate connected to the piston, a dampening piston disposed in the dampening piston bore, the dampening piston disposed between a dampening and regulated fluid volumes and including a recess including a band therein having at least one gap therethrough, the gap in the band forming a passage between the dampening piston and the piston bore communicable with a volume exterior to the region between the dampening piston and the piston bore.
A pressure regulator includes a body including a regulated fluid volume, at least one vent passage and fluid supply passage, a dampening piston bore and one regulated fluid volume outlet passage, a regulated fluid pressure piston, the regulated fluid pressure piston having a first side exposed to the regulated fluid volume, and a second surface exposed outwardly of the body, an external biasing member contactable with the second surface of the piston and providing a force on the piston directed inwardly of the body, a gate connected to the piston and having a first seal and a second seal, a dampening piston disposed in the dampening piston bore, the dampening piston disposed between a dampening volume and the regulated fluid volume, the dampening piston including a bore extending therethrough and communicable between the regulated fluid volume and the dampening volume, the bore including an orifice position therein, and, an opening extending from the dampening volume outwardly the body, the opening sealable by a removable plug, the opening aligned with the bore in the dampening piston and the orifice position therein.
A directional control valve having low or no interflow, minimal parts, and configured for easy repair, is provided. In one embodiment, a seat is slidingly sealably movable with respect to opposed plates, such that an inlet in one of the plates communicates with an internal volume of the seat, and by selectively positioning the seat with respect to one or more outlets in a second of the opposed plates, the inlet can be placed in communication with an outlet, or isolated from the one or more outlets.
A directional control valve for selectively communicating a valve outlet to one of a vent port and a pressure supply port includes a poppet extending through a cage. Relative positioning of the poppet to the cage selects which of the vent and pressure supply port is communicated to the valve outlet. The poppet position relative to the cage is provided by supplying fluid pressure to one of the opposed sides thereof, and the poppet latches with the cage so that the fluid pressure on one of the sides of the poppet need not be maintained to maintain the poppet position in the valve.
A dynamic variable orifice includes a housing within which are located a rotor having at least one opening extending therethrough, and at least one seat ring, having an opening therethrough, biased thereagainst. In response to a pressure spike occurring at the inlet of the dynamic variable orifice, the rotor moves axially and rotationally in the housing, to selectively align the opening in the rotor with the opening in the seat ring.
A subsea pressure regulator includes: a spring housing; a spring disposed therein; a body having a bore formed therethrough and inlet and outlet ports; drive and balance adapters connected to opposite ends of the body; drive and balance plungers; and a supply seal assembly. Each plunger has: a piston shoulder engaged with the respective adapter, a first portion in fluid communication with an outlet chamber, and a second portion in fluid communication with ambient pressure. The supply seal assembly includes a seal carrier connected to the plungers and a seal bore formed therethrough. The spring biases the seal carrier toward an open position. The drive plunger is operable to move the seal carrier to a closed position in response to sufficient pressure in the outlet chamber overcoming the spring bias.
The present invention generally relates to a stacked shuttle valve. More specifically, the present invention relates to a stacked shuttle valve that is; fully reconfigurable in the field, facilitated by adding or removing stages, allowing the total number of stages in an existing shuttle stack to be varied in order to suit the application requirement; fully serviceable in the field, facilitated by the installation of new shuttle and seat components shuttle components, without requiring the full dismantling of the shuttle stack and body replacement; spring biased at each stage within the stack by utilizing a small conical coil shuttle spring; leak tight shuttle without the need to coin the metal to metal adapter seal by utilizing a radius shaped shuttle seat; uses shuttle and seat components that are interchangeable with the single shuttle assembly; and capable of greater flow rates.

"These are very live issues," Frank Cottrell Boyce, who wrote the script to "The Railway Man" with Andy Patterson, told reporters in Toronto." This isn't just about a forgotten moment in history. The way that Eric was tortured was water-boarding. When we first started working on this film that seeme
