Abstract:
The formation of wrinkles in bed sheets used on mattresses of the type having elevated side bolsters and the tendency of the sheets to come off when the mattress is articulated are reduced through the use of a fitted sheet having conforming pockets receiving the side bolsters. Stabilization of the upper sheet surface by the pockets is augmented in some embodiments through use of a stitch line placed along a seam on the inside of the pockets and/or by un-pocketed spans of the upper surface of the sheet connecting directly to an elastically retained skirt.

Abstract:
The present invention provides an assembly having a wheelchair and a lift assembly to urge the seat surface upward with respect to the frame from a lowered position when supporting a seated individual during use to an elevated position with respect to the frame as to assist the individual during ingress or egress to or from the wheelchair. The lift assembly may include a mechanical linkage and an actuator assembly. The actuator assembly produced a nonlinear lift force having a first period exhibiting a first rate of amplitude increase when the seating surface is nearer the lowered position and a second period exhibiting a second rate of amplitude change that is less than the first rate of amplitude increase when the seating surface is nearer the elevated position.

The present invention provides an assembly having a wheelchair and a lift assembly to urge the seat surface upward with respect to the frame from a lowered position when supporting the seated individual during use to an elevated position with respect to the frame assisting the individual during ingress or egress to or from the wheelchair. The lift assembly may include a mechanical linkage and an actuator. The assembly also provides at least one brake configured to block rotation of the wheelchair wheel with respect to the wheelchair frame in a locked state and disengaging with the wheels to allow rotation of the wheel with respect to the frame in an unlocked state. The assembly also provides a brake linkage communicating between the lift assembly and the brake to move the brake into the lock state when the seat surface moved to the elevated position.

Abstract:
The present invention provides an assembly having a wheelchair and a wheelchair rigging receptacle. The wheelchair may include an appendage support rigging that is releasably affixed to the frame and configured to support a user's appendage, e.g. foot, when in use. The assembly also provides at least one receptacle configured to retain the appendage support rigging within, when the appendage support rigging is not affixed to the frame. The receptacle may comprise two opposing flexible side walls, a rear wall extending between the side walls, and a bottom extending between a lower edge of the walls to define an interior cavity between an inner surface of the wall and the base that has a width approximately equal to a width of the appendage support rigging. The receptacle also includes at least one mounting device to affix the receptacle to the anti-tip bar of the wheelchair at the rear of the seating surface.
