    Pixar - Emeryville CA
  • International Classification:
    H04N 5/00
  • US Classification:
    386130
  • Abstract:
A method for forming an image transfer apparatus includes providing first image data to a flat-panel display, displaying a first output image on the flat-panel display in response to the first image data, wherein the first output image includes an optical distortion associated with a film disposed onto a front transparent media of the flat-panel display, recording the first output image onto film media with a film recorder movably coupled to the flat-panel display, producing a complementing image in response to the first output image as recorded on the film media, and disposing the complementing image on an optical path of the film recorder.

  • International Classification:
    G02B027/10
  • US Classification:
    359/618000
  • Abstract:
An optical beacon is comprised of a telescope having a primary focal plane or Coudé focal plane, a plurality of fiber coupled laser sources for generating a plurality of beams, a collimator for collimating the plurality of beams, and optics for combining and focusing the plurality of collimated beams onto the primary or Coudé focal plane of the telescope. The telescope propagates the optical beacon, which is arranged into a ring of incoherent plurality of collimated beams. The apparatus further comprises fiber splitters coupled to each laser source to provide at least eight beams from at least four laser sources. The optics comprises a prism assembly, a combiner lens, a focusing lens and a field lens for focusing the plurality of collimated beams onto the primary focal plane or Coudé focal plane of the telescope.

  • US Patent:
    20230035784, Feb 2, 2023
  • Filed:
    Oct 12, 2022
  • Appl. No.:
    17/964185
  • Inventors:
    - Emeryville CA, US
Eric Chu - San Francisco CA, US
Tamas Czimmerman - Hayward CA, US

Babak Sanii - San Francisco CA, US
  • International Classification:
    G01N 15/02
  • Abstract:
An apparatus includes a process chip and a dynamic light scattering assembly. The process chip includes a fluid chamber including and an optically transmissive material adjacent to the fluid chamber. The process chip is to be removably positioned in relation to the dynamic light scattering assembly. The dynamic light scattering assembly is to direct the light through the optically transmissive material and into the fluid chamber. The dynamic light scattering assembly is further to receive light scattered by particles in fluid in the fluid chamber in response to the first optical fiber emitting light into the fluid chamber and thereby capture light scattering data. A processor determines viscosity of fluid in the fluid chamber based on the captured light scattering data. The processor also determines one or both of size or size distribution of particles in the fluid based the captured light scattering data.
