Awards:
"Outrageous Responsiveness" Yorgen Edholm (CEO @ Accellion) Every now and then, an Accellion employee is acknowledged for rising above their normal duties and resolving a problem with exceptional efficiency and quick thinking. Here is what was said when I was honored with this award:
"I’d like to nominate Ben Morton for this award. Below is a specific incident in which the customer was so impressed he actually took the time to write me an email.
I wanted to shoot you a quick email regarding my interaction with Ben Morton.
On Friday, 8/3/2012 I was out of the office when my manager called me in a panic: two co-workers needed to send out time-sensitive legal documents within 30 minutes and the Accellion SFTP server licensing had expired, because I had neglected to complete the necessary paperwork. Woops. My manager strongly suggested I call Accellion and beg for a temporary license. Sure, call some customer service department on a Friday afternoon and get a temporary license within 30 minutes, like that’s even possible. I called Accellion Customer Service and while I was contemplating new career possibilities a pleasant young lady answered the phone. I quickly explained my situation and that, If I was the reason these documents didn’t go out in the next 30 minutes, I would be saying, “Would you like fries with that, sir?” by Monday afternoon.
I was then transferred to Ben Morton who, after hearing my situation and probably recognizing the sheer terror in my voice, verified my email address and sent me a temporary license. No games, no dumb questions, no waste of time, just boom, what I needed, when I needed it.
Outstanding customer service delivered in a timely, no nonsense manner, Ben should be commended and I thought you should be aware. Thanks Ben!"
