'Jihadi John' Is Targeted by US Airstrike in ISIS Stronghold
"He was only a pawn in ISIS' stupid game, but knowing it's over that he's finally dead still hasn't sunk in," Bethany Haines said in a written statement. "As much as I wanted him dead I also wanted answers as to why he did it, why my dad, how did it make a difference."

Jihadi John: From ordinary schoolboy to world's most wanted man
The hunt continues for him. Last night, David Haines teenage daughter Bethany Haines told ITV News that unmasking Emwazi was only the beginning. She was critical of the border agencies failure to stop jihadists such as Emwazi and in particular teenage girls from reaching Syria.
Bethany Haines arrived at the service wearing a floral dress and clutching a single white rose. She spoke at the service, paying tribute to her father. So too did Michael Haines. His son, Euan, read a poem, Not How Did He Die, But How Did He Live, in memory of his uncle.
When asked what message she wanted to send to MPs, Bethany Haines said: IS need to be eradicated. They cant continue this. If air strikes and ground force is what it takes, thats what it takes.
