About:
I love the Sun Cities. It is just not a place to live but a way of life. I moved here in 1986 from Puyallup, Washington. I was a Real Estate Broker in Washington before moving here, so I just had to become familiar with the area. After 26 years here, I still love it. I think the thing that is most gratifying to me is my working with older folks who in many cases are not in good health. These folks are so vulnerable and could be taken advantage of so easily. My philosophy is to treat each one like they were my mother or father. If I do not feel they understand what they are signing, I have called their children, or their attorney, or a neighbor, someone that can assure them they are doing the right thing. I think that is called INTEGRITY. When I first went into Real Estate in the late 70's, I can remember taking a class where the instructor told us that Realtors were considered in the same class as Used Car Salesmen. I have never forgotten that statement, and have always been determined that I would not be placed in that category. The Client comes first, whether buyer or seller. Not my commission, not a closing date that is best for me, not pushing them into something they can't afford, and certainly not high pressure. I have had many folks come into town and tell me they are not ready to buy, they just need to look around and see if they are interested in the area. NO PROBLEM. I do what I call a Fact Finding Mission!! I show them a few homes in each of the different areas, we look at the recreation facilities, the health facilities. We talk about closing costs, utility costs, taxes, etc. When they leave, they have a pretty good idea of what they are going to get for their hard earned dollars. Did I make a sale? No, not at that time, but you would be amazed at how many come back, 6 mos, a year or even 2 years later. They do call me, and they do buy. I love what I do, I think I am very good at it, and hope to continue for many more years.
