Abstract:
A player tracking system and method are set forth for tracking the play of a customer playing wagering games at any one of a plurality of gaming venues. The system and method includes a local data base for each venue and a central data base. In response to reading a player tracking card the player's file at the local data base is placed into an open condition to receive updated gaming information. When the player terminates their gaming session, gaming activity data is sent to the player's file at the local data base and as network data to the central data base as well as other venue local data bases to maintain a current record of gaming information throughout the system for the purposes of tracking wagering activity and providing promotions to player based, at least in part, on that wagering activity.
An electronic gaming machine is incorporated into a table, having a rotatable top, such that multiple players sitting around the table can each individually play the gaming machine. A base member of the table supports a table top having a cut-out for receiving the external gaming features, including a display, selection buttons, coin and bill insert, coin hopper, etc. A receptacle secured to an under-side of said table top supports the internal components of the gaming machine within the base member. In this arrangement, the gaming machine may be rotated along with the table top to properly orient the external features of the machine for any of a plurality of individual players sitting around the table. A door in the base provides access to said internal components of the machine such that it may be serviced and monies may be collected.

Abstract:
A method and system for awarding a bonus to all eligible players on a gaming network is disclosed. A network of video poker machines in communication with a common controller facilitates one version of the invention. In response to one machine of the network generating a pre-established winning game outcome (e.g., four of a kind), the common controller causes each other player playing a machine on the network to be awarded a bonus. For example, the pre-established game winning outcome may be a minimum poker hand rank, specific poker hand rank and/or primary game winning dollar amount. An icon or audio tone notifies players of the bonus award. To be eligible for the bonus award, players may be required to play maximum coins or units on their machines and/or be identified as a player's club member.
