Abstract:

Methods and systems are provided for a vessel or pipeline closure. A closure includes a hub fixedly and sealingly secured to the vessel, and a cap for threaded engagement with the hub. An anchor may be fixedly secured to the hub and a tightening pulling stop and a loosening pulling stop each may be fixedly secured to the cap. A connector body may be engaged with the anchor , and has a through bore to accommodate a threaded rod. A flexible, elongate member may be engaged at one end to the threaded rod , and selectively engaged with one of the pulling stops or. A threaded collar advances the threaded rod axially, thereby rotating the cap relative to the hub.

Abstract:

Catheter ablation systems are used to isolate the Left Atrial Appendage (“LAA”), or portions of the LAA, by using balloons. The systems deliver an ablation fluid such as alcohol in order to destroy the LAA tissue isolated between the balloons, deliver saline to dilute the ablation fluid, and remove excess fluid and particulates by suction to prevent excess residual alcohol from remaining in the LAA.

Abstract:

Disclosures include a method for manufacturing a ball member usable in a flow control valve. The method comprises connecting a workpiece to a rotating apparatus along an axis of rotation of the workpiece, simultaneously rotating the workpiece about the axis of rotation and moving a rotating cutting tool toward the axis of rotation along a second axis to form a first curved surface having a progressively shorter radius with respect to the axis of rotation, wherein the second axis is generally oriented perpendicular to the axis of rotation, and cutting a bore through the workpiece, wherein one end of the bore extends through the first surface and the other end of the bore extends through the second surface.
