The Southeast Kansas Education Service Center's Emerging Leaders program served as a year-long professional development program for program directors. Objectives included, but were not limited to, leadership development and new product/program development to better serve K-12 school districts.
Leadership Academy
Southeast Kansas Education Service Center
The Leadership Academy program began in 1987 to provide quality professional development opportunities and to offer a challenge for school administrators to strengthen their capacity for educational leadership. The educational and training programs include planning, managing and evaluating one's own professional development including interpersonal relationships with pupils, parents, teachers, and fellow administrators. The Greenbush Leadership Academy cultivates and promotes the critical attributes of positive school leadership and motivates and renews existing school leaders. The Academy creates a support network for aspiring school leaders with existing school leaders to strengthen leadership capacities.
