First Tee Founder's Award
The First Tee
FedEx and myself were honored for dedicating resources to The First Tee, including funding a $200,000 environmental awareness and course improvement program that took place at six chapters in 2010 in conjunction with PGA TOUR events. The program resulted in greater golfer awareness of eco-friendly behaviors and environmental course improvements such as restoring natural wildlife by planting indigenous trees, building bird houses and nests, naturalizing property and fence lines, and resodding and revitalizing ponds and waterways.
