A channel may be formed between the plurality of removable display modules and the frame structure and fluid may be forced through the channel and at least partially across the plurality of removable display modules.
Front And Rear Removable Panel For Electronic Displays
Display apparatus and methods of making them are disclosed. The display apparatus includes frame members assembled to form a frame for the display apparatus and display modules configured for displaying at least a portion of an adaptable image. Each display module is coupled to the frame members to form a matrix organization of display modules for the display apparatus. The display module includes a removable panel and apertures formed therethrough. The apertures are arranged as pixel rows including pixel arrangements distributed along each pixel row. The display module also includes coupling devices attached to the removable panel, which are configured for detachably coupling the removable panel to the frame members, wherein the coupling devices may be operated to attach or remove the removable panel. Furthermore, the coupling devices are configured such that they can be operated from a front side or from a back side of the removable panel.

Abstract:
Methods and displays are disclosed for presenting media content on display systems. A display is configured as an array of LEDs. The array of LEDs includes a first set of rows including first LEDs in a repeating pattern of a first color LED, a second color LED, and a third color LED. A second set of rows includes second LEDs in a repeating pattern of the first color LED, the second color LED, and the third color LED, wherein the second set of rows are interleaved between the first set of rows and the second LEDs are offset relative to the first LEDs. Visual content to be presented on the display includes a repeating sequence of four frames of an array of virtual pixels such that each virtual pixel of the array comprises at least one of the first LEDs and at least one of the second LEDs.

Abstract:
Incident light management devices, display devices, methods of managing incident light for displays, and other related methods and devices are disclosed. A display module comprises one or more pixel rows and a panel, the panel including a plurality of apertures formed therethrough and at least one incident light management region comprising corrugations. A method of managing incident light for a light emitting display comprises receiving incident light onto at least one first slanted surface, absorbing at least a portion of the incident light with the at least one first slanted surface, reflecting at least a portion of the incident light toward at least one second slanted surface, and absorbing at least a portion of the reflected incident light with the at least one second slanted surface.

Abstract:
A system for weighing and placing stacked foliage in inventory and for, thereafter, precisely determining and feeding a metered or controlled amount of foliage material from inventory on a stack-by-stack basis. A foliage stacking machine is used to stack, weigh and place the foliage in cumulative inventory. A stack feeder is used from time to time to feed to livestock predetermined and metered amounts of foliage from successive stacks taken from inventory, while continuously monitoring the cumulative amount of foliage in inventory. Electronic strain gauges are disposed upon the frame of both the stacking machine and the stack feeder which strain gauges are calibrated to provide a total stack weight readout (at any time before, during or after each feeding operation). A calculator for determining the amount of feed to be discharged on each occasion is provided. The capacity to preset the stack feeder to discharge only a said predetermined amount of foliage and to provide a continuous instantaneous readout of the amount of foliage actually discharged from a stack at any point in time during feeding operation is available.
Constant Current Drive System For Fluorescent Tubes
Novel systems, circuits, and methods for initiating ionization, maintaining constant illumination current, and extinguishing illumination in a gas discharge tube and in gas discharge tube arrays. Input controls for current regulating circuits for gas discharge tubes comprise directly connected semiconductor logic circuits. In the currently preferred embodiment, each gas discharge tube is maintained in consistently bright illumination by a constant current or extinguished by inhibition of the constant current, as controlled by a surprisingly simple circuit comprising a single PNP transistor and three resistors. A parallel coupled input which provides an impedance connection for a gas discharge tube ionizing high voltage pulse comprises a single resistor and a serially interposed isolating diode which protects the transistor from the high voltage ionizing pulse and imposes the ionizing pulse primarily upon the gas discharge tube. The constant illumination maintaining current provides a controlled illumination brilliance from each emitting gas discharge tube which is particularly useful in large display arrays such as programmable signs, scoreboards and the like.
Electromechanical Discrete Element And A Large Sign Or Display
A visual display element, which may be used singly or as part of a large bank or like and similar elements, each element comprising an encasement, a slotted plate, and an actuating assembly. The actuating assembly comprises a planar face with a colored pattern of lines thereon and is situated immediately behind and parallel to the slotted plate. When viewed from the front, the planar face and adjacent slotted plate, the slots of said plate comprising highly reflective surfaces, which collectively appear as a solid color. Selective relative movement between the planar face and the slotted plate causes the visually perceived color to change from one color to a contrasting color and thereafter back to the original color.
Solid State Color Display System And Light Emitting Diode Pixels Therefor
Wide color range display systems comprising integrated, phase modulated light from three light emitting diode (LED) pixels. Each pixel comprises a large number of LED chips arranged compactly to provide a discrete element light source of sufficient output to be viewed as a point source of light from a substantial distance. The arrays of pixels are placed in a matrix of a type typically used in scoreboards, message centers and other large display systems, although the various combinations, subcombinations, and elements are not limited to such uses. Each pixel is mounted in a molded package which may include a transparent lens covering and sufficient number of connecting leads to provide for the number of colors of LEDs contained in the pixel array. Each pixel is placed in a mounting fixture which also accommodates the necessary electrical connections to multiplexed driving circuitry. The light emitted is determined by the type of LED used in the array, preferably an array of red, green and blue, although amber, green and other color combinations may be used.
