Abstract:

Disclosed are methods for treating conditions characterized by anemia or red blood cells dysfunction by administering an agent that increases the level of endogenous LCAT or LCAT activity. Additionally disclosed are methods of treating conditions wherein red blood cells have reduced function in relation to deformability, oxygenation, increased adhesion and aggregability, reduced nitric oxide function, or decreased life-span, increased free cholesterol, or abnormal phospholipid content. Also disclosed are methods for treating conditions characterized by an abnormal concentration of free cholesterol in red blood cells and methods of normalizing the free cholesterol content of red blood cells.

Abstract:

Embodiments of the invention provide a variable angle fitting to route cables around a corner. The variable angle fitting includes a main body with a base plate, a first sidewall, a second sidewall, a first joint plate, and a second joint plate. The first joint plate can be rotatably coupled to the base plate by a first deformable hinge, and the second joint plate can be rotatably coupled to the base plate by a second deformable hinge. The variable angle fitting also includes a first bracket and a second bracket that is identical to the first bracket. The first bracket can be coupled to the first joint plate, and the second bracket can be coupled to the second joint plate. The first bracket can be positioned at a first angle with respect to the base plate, and the second bracket can be positioned at a second angle with respect to the base plate in order to route cables around the corner.

Abstract:

A panel mount system includes a pair of hermaphroditic electrical connectors mounted in apertures in a respective pair of panels. Each connector includes a mounting flange for interfacing with the panel and a pair of cantilevered latch structures. Each latch structure includes a base arm projecting from the mounting flange and a pair of locking arms deflectably cantilevered from an end of the base arm. The maximum cross-sectional dimension defined by each pair of locking arms is greater than respective adjacent portions of the respective mounting aperture whereby the locking arms of each latch structure are deflectable to pass through the respective mounting aperture and then to an undeflected condition to mount the connector to the panel. The maximum cross-sectional dimension defined by the base arm is less than the respective adjacent portion of the mounting aperture to permit floating of the connector relative to the panel. The dimension of one of the latch structures and its adjacent portion of the mounting aperture is different from the dimension of the other latch structure and its adjacent portion of the mounting aperture to provide polarization for the connector relative to the panel.
