Abstract:
A transmitter identification code is designed such that the code varies as the code is assigned. In one embodiment the code will include information with regard to the date and time that the code is initially determined. In a second embodiment the code is provided by incrementing a counter, and then modifying that counter information such that the final code is non-sequential.

Abstract:
An ambient light control module and method of operating an ambient light control module selectively actuates light modules to provide a desired light color and intensity. The disclosed ambient light control module selectively actuates light modules that are controllable to provide desired colors. The light control module produces uniform signals across the several light modules such that each separate light module will emit the same color. The disclosed example light control module includes a microcontroller with a plurality of output channels including output compare channels and pulse width modulated channels. The output channels are matched to a common clock so that a uniform signal is emitted from any channel to provide the desired uniformity between lighting modules.
Remote Signal Transmission Control Including Compensation For Variations In Transmitter Components
A transmitter, particularly useful for a remote keyless entry system, includes a less expensive oscillator. A strategy for compensating for tolerance variations caused by the less expensive components includes sending out a test signal with an expected signal profile. The test signal is then received and analyzed to compare it to the expected signal profile. Variations in timing characteristics of the signal compared to the expected characteristics are utilized to determine correction factors that are then programmed into a microprocessor of the transmitter so that subsequent signal transmissions will track an expected signal profile.

Abstract:
A backing system for a vehicle and trailer includes a wireless control device in communication with an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured with programming to record an image of a hitch for the vehicle and trailer assembly and determine a hitch angle using a plurality of reference points on the trailer which are viewed by the camera. The portions of the image which are relevant to a current position of the vehicle and trailer assembly are determined by the electronic control unit. Data regarding the relevant portions are sent to the control device via a secured wireless connection and displayed on a display.
