An apparatus includes a frame having a drive shaft mounting portion, a power tool restraint portion, and an adjustable forearm portion, wherein the power tool restraint portion is adapted to register a portable rotary power tool with the frame. A drive shaft is mounted with the frame in the drive shaft mounting portion, wherein the drive shaft is sized to be coupled with a rotary output of the power tool. A mounting bracket having arms ending in angled arm ends to facilitate the use of the apparatus in confined spaces is adjustably mounted to the forearm portion. An adapter set includes at least two adapters of differing sizes that may be removably attached to the mounting bracket and used to supply a force to the structure through which the line is being pulled that opposes the force on the structure produced by the line itself, thus stabilizing the structure.

Abstract:

This invention generally relates to enlarging a hole in a substrate such that the enlarged hole is centered on the existing hole. A knock-out punch and die tool for enlarging a knock-out hole in an electrical box includes a punch; a generally cup shaped die; a threaded central shaft supporting the punch on one end and the die on the other end; a removable centering element placed in a cup portion of the die; and a resilient element, such as a spring, urging the centering element in an axial direction along a length of the shaft outwardly of the cup portion. The centering element and the spring may be provided as a retrofitting kit for converting non-centering punch and die tools into centering punch and die tools.

Abstract:

An adapter for connecting pullers to conduits of a variety of sizes includes a flexible cable for surrounding the conduit. A surrounding portion of the cable can be adjusted to any desirable length. In one embodiment, the adapter includes a connection plate that has a spring loaded cable connected at one side edge of the plate and a notch at an opposite edge of the plate. The cable includes stop lugs at positions along the cable corresponding to conduits of a variety of sizes. The cable surrounds the conduit and a portion of the cable adjacent to one of the lugs is engaged in the notch. In another embodiment, the connection plate includes a hook at one side edge and a one-way stop mechanism at the opposite side edge. The cable is connected to the connection plate on the hook at one end and the other end of the cable passes through the stop mechanism. The surrounding length of the cable may be shortened by pulling the cable through the stop mechanism and may be lengthened by releasing a lever of the stop mechanism.

Abstract:

A knockout driver includes an inner chamber with an actuator mounted for rotational movement therein. A gripper is engaged with the actuator and moves linearly through the inner chamber in response to the actuator being rotated. The rotational movement of the gripper is restricted when the actuator rotates to reduce the amount of torque applied to the user.

An auger bit with a removable tip is provided. The removable tip is coupled to a first end of the auger bit. The auger bit includes a second end adapted to repeatably removably couple to a drill.
