Abstract:

An implement with two independent transmissions drives a common output shaft. Each transmission is configured to rotatably drive the output shaft in a different direction to simplify changing the ground direction of the implement. Moreover, in a preferred embodiment, the transmissions are actuated by levers that provide infinitely variability of the implement's ground speed.

Abstract:

An implement includes an electric starter operatively connected to an internal combustion engine to start the internal combustion engine. An ignition circuit actuates the electric starter. A first normally open switch forming part of the ignition circuit is mounted on the implement at a first position and must be held closed by an operator for the ignition circuit to actuate the electric starter. A second normally open switch forming part of the ignition circuit is mounted on the implement at a second position and must be held closed by an operator for the ignition circuit to actuate the electric starter. The first position is spaced from the second position a sufficient distance to prevent an operator from closing both the first normally open switch and the second normally open switch with a single hand.

Abstract:

A walk-behind outdoor power machine includes a control that is actuable to control at least one operational aspect the power machine, a handle including a user-graspable portion that is graspable by an operator walking behind the machine, a locking mechanism locking the user-graspable portion of the handle at a desired height, and an actuator incorporated into the control. The control is actuated in a first direction to control the operational aspect of the power machine, and is actuated in a second direction to release the locking mechanism so the height of the user-graspable portion can be adjusted.
