Abstract:
An improved transfer storage carton having complimentary fastening means affixed to each of the respective end flaps and to at least one of the top flaps which are folded in overlapped relationship atop the open compartment of the carton in conventional fashion to effectively close and seal the carton. In this respect, it is preferred to use complimentary fasteners of the type sold under the trademark "VELCRO" by Velcro Corp. The complimentary fasteners are fixed to and carried by clips which are generally u-shaped in configuration. These clips are extended through slots formed in the end and top flaps to secure the fasteners to the flaps. In addition, one side flap is formed to expose the complimentary fasteners secured to the end flaps when the side flap is folded to overlie the end flaps so that the complimentary fastener affixed to the other one of the side flaps automatically lockingly engage to seal shut the carton.

Abstract:
A button fastener for use with a storage carton having a stud on one button member which is extended through the side wall of the storage carton. Another button member then is engaged with the stud so as to receive the stud in a bore in it and the two button members are pressed together to force the stud through the bore until locking shoulders formed by an enlarged head on the stud and the cavity about the bore lockingly engage with one another to affix the two button members together. A longitudinal slot in the stud and the enlarged head on it permits the enlarged head to be sufficiently compressed together to be extended into and through the bore, and to then expand to engage the locking shoulders. Conical walls of the enlarged head also assist in inserting the enlarged head into the bore. The enlarged head on the stud is contained substantially or completely within the cavity about the bore and is thereby prevented from puncturing or otherwise damaging the side walls of the storage carton.
A pallet leg for a corrugated cardboard pallet is disclosed, in which tubular leg elements are secured by adhesive to a flat table element. Die-cut finger members are formed in the corrugated cardboard table member at each leg attachment point, and are positioned perpendicular to the table member within an annulus formed by two nesting cylindrical paperboard leg members. The finger members are formed by die-cut lines tangent to a central hole so that a somewhat spiral pattern is formed, much like a camera iris.
There is disclosed an improved corrugated pallet having pallet legs attached at various points of attachment. The field of invention relates to a corrugated cardboard pallet of the type generally formed by a pair or more of pallet decks which are stacked atop one another, each of which has finger elements die cut therein radiating outwardly from a central circle and terminating on a circular score line of substantially the same diameter as the inner diameter of one of the leg elements. The die cut lines for the fingers radiate tangentially outwardly to create a substantially spiral pattern. The leg assembly is of the type formed by an outer leg, and an inner leg, with the radiating die cut fingers nested between the annulus created between the outer and inner leg and adhesively secured to the legs. The improvement consists of die cutting a series of linearly aligned perforations along the length of each finger, such that when the adhesive is applied to the outer and inner surfaces of the fingers, the adhesive is permitted to permeate the inner confines of the corrugated material forming the fingers thereby increasing the surface area of adhesive for securing the finger elements to the respective leg elements.
