"Every rally this week has been unsustainable," says Bryan Sapp, senior trading analyst at Schaeffer's Investment Research. 'The recent range in the market has very likely frustrated by both bulls and bears, as there has been no directional lean and very choppy intra-day action."
"The S&P 500 had another strong day on Friday, and looks poised to test the recent all-time highs around 1,850," said Schaeffer's Investment Research's senior trading analyst Bryan Sapp. The S&P 500 closed Friday at 1838.63, roughly 10 points below its record peak.
P 500 below the 1675 level, a key area that Wall Street viewed as a first price floor at which selling might subside. "The next area to watch," says Bryan Sapp, a senior trading analyst at Schaeffer's Investment research, "is around 1656," which marks the index's average price over the past 50 days.
