My name is Carl McClure and I specialize in helping buyers and sellers invest in real estate in the South Carolina areas of Irmo, Chapin, Lexington, Columbia North East and Lake Murray. Prior to becoming a realtor, I was a teacher and coach for over 30 years in the Columbia and Newberry areas. This along with being a realtor since 2005 has allowed me to become very knowledgeable of the schools, and neighborhoods in the Columbia area. I am focused on providing you with the most personal attention and best service available. I was born in Dayton, Tennessee and moved to Hixson, Tennessee at age 7. I graduated from Hixson High School then attended MTSU for 2 years. From MTSU, I went on active duty in the Navy. Three years later I returned to MTSU and received my B.S. and M.ed. degrees in education. My first teaching job was at Taylors Elementary in Greer, S.C. After one year there and another year at Nutex Chemicals as the plant manager I came to the Columbia area. This was 1975! I have taught school at Seven Oaks Elementary, Chapin Elementary, Nursery Road Elementary, Mid Carolina Middle, and Birchwood High. After 30 plus years of teaching and coaching I went into real estate. The same work ethics, drive, and people skills that made me a successful coach and teacher also make me the realtor for you! Please know that I am very community oriented and give back 10% of my commission to local charities, churches, schools, etc. and my clients choose where.

I have lived and worked in the Columbia and Newberry Area since 1975. I have watched this area grow and develop; I know the schools, the communities, the lake and beautiful countryside. I have owned a boat for the majority of this time and have spent many hours discovering the over 600 miles of wondrous shoreline on Lake Murray. We have heavily populated areas with subdivisions, condos, farms with many acres and everything in between. We have flat terrain and land with mountain like views. There is something for everyone on Lake Murray and the Columbia Area. As a teacher and coach in this area for over 30 years and a real estate agent for over 6 years, I have excellent knowledge of the area and closed many successful transactions for my clients. I have found that working with my former students with the purchase of their homes a very rewarding experience! I look forward to the same kind of experience with you! My dedication to helping my clients extends beyond helping you buy or sell your home; I donate 10% of my commission back to a charity, school or church of your choice.
