Abstract:
The disclosed subject matter provides a filter that is modified by a polymer-carbon based nanomaterial nanocomposite intended to significantly enhance the performance of filtration, separation, and remediation of a broad variety of chemicals, heavy metal ions, organic matters, and living organisms. Polymeric materials, such as but not limited to poly-N-vinyl carbazole (PVK), are combined with (1) graphene (G) and/or graphene-like materials based nanomaterials and (2) graphene oxide (GO) chemically modified with a chelating agent such as but not limited to EDTA. The nanocomposite is homogenously deposited on the surface of the membrane.
High Temperature Treatment Fluid With Nanocellulose
A method of using a high temperature treatment fluid containing nanocellulose including: providing a treatment fluid that includes a base fluid, a synthetic crosslinked polymer composition including a plurality of monomeric units, and at least one crosslinker, and a nanocellulose. The treatment fluid is introduced into at least a portion of a well bore penetrating at least a portion of a subterranean formation.

Abstract:
Provided are compositions and methods that use a true crystallization temperature reduction additive in the aqueous internal phase. An example method may comprise providing an oil-based treatment fluid in the form of an invert emulsion comprising an aqueous internal phase and an oil external phase. The aqueous internal phase may include a bromide brine and a true crystallization temperature reduction additive, wherein the bromide brine has a density of about 14.2 lbs/gal or greater. The method may further include placing the oil-based treatment fluid into a wellbore.

Abstract:
Included are methods and systems for drilling in a subterranean formation. A method comprises providing a drilling fluid comprising an aqueous base fluid and a betaine shale stabilizer; placing the drilling fluid into the subterranean formation; and drilling a wellbore in the subterranean formation. A drilling system comprises a drilling fluid comprising an aqueous base fluid and a betaine shale stabilizer; a drilling assembly; a drill string coupled to the drilling assembly; a pumping system fluidically coupled to the drill string, wherein the pumping system is capable of pumping the drilling fluid through the drill string.
Hydrophobizing Treatments And Agents And Methods Of Use In Subterranean Formations
Systems and methods for using hydrophobizing agents to prevent or delay acidization and/or improve filter cake removal in subterranean formations are provided. In certain embodiments, the methods comprise: providing a treatment fluid comprising an aqueous base fluid and one or more hydrophobizing agents; contacting at least a portion of a surface within a subterranean formation with the treatment fluid; and allowing the hydrophobizing agent to interact with the portion of the surface within the subterranean formation to reduce its reactivity with an acid.

Abstract:
Methods of coating solid particulates used in a wellbore fluid are described. The methods include providing a first solution that includes at least one inorganic sol precursor and at least one solvent, adding an aqueous solution to the first solution to form an inorganic sol that develops into an inorganic sol-gel, applying the inorganic sol-gel to the solid particulates, drying the solid particulates to form an inorganic sol-gel coating on the solid particulates, and mixing the coated solid particulates with a wellbore fluid.
