Abstract:The present invention relates to a method for raising a monoclonal antibody against human vitronectin and the purified anti-vitronectin antibody produced by this method. The antibody of the present invention is useful as both a research tool and as an agent for the diagnosis and treatment of cancers, cardiovascular diseases, particularly atherosclerosis and restenosis, osteoporosis, and inflammatory diseases.
