Abstract:One embodiment, having a corresponding method and computer program, features an apparatus comprising: an input circuit configured to receive packets of encoded voice data, wherein the encoded voice data includes intervals of voice activity and intervals of silence, and wherein each of the packets includes a packet sequence indicator; and a first packet circuit configured to transmit two or more of each packet that includes one or more of the intervals of voice activity, and configured to transmit only one of each packet that includes only intervals of silence.
