An apparatus or a vehicle for applying multiple coatings of fluid to a surface in a single moving pass comprises a manifold having a plurality of nozzles. A first nozzle applies a first layer of fluid to the surface in accordance with a first spray pattern. A second nozzle carried applies a second layer of fluid to the surface in accordance with a second spray pattern. The second layer substantially covers the first layer. A third nozzle applies a third layer of fluid to the surface in accordance with a third spray pattern. The third layer substantially covers the first and second layers. The apparatus provides for multiple coatings of one or more fluids onto a substrate in a single pass, whereby the application of the various layers is accurately controlled to achieve a desired result.

Abstract:
A method of stabilization and anchoring for low density objects such as leaves, including applying to the surface of a collection of leaves a solution including a water-soluble polymer selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl alcohol, derivatives thereof, and combinations thereof, at a rate of 0.5 g/mto 20 g/m, on a dry basis, and suitable solutions for the method optionally including crosslinking agents, surfactants, plasticizers, nanoparticulates, and tackifying agents, are disclosed.

Abstract:
A method of dust abatement, including applying and reapplying to a surface having particulate material a single-phase solution including a water-soluble polymer selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl alcohol, derivatives thereof, and combinations thereof, at a rate of 0.1 g/m to 6 g/m, on a dry basis, and suitable solutions for the method optionally including surfactants, plasticizers, tackifying agents, and nanoclays, are disclosed.

Abstract:
Methods of temporarily protecting an exterior surface of a structure, an interior hard surface, and an automobile part, including the step of applying to the surface a solution including a water-soluble polymer, and allowing the solution to dry, thereby forming a water-soluble polymer coating on the surface, is disclosed. The protective coating can thereafter be removed by washing the surface with water, such as with a power sprayer, taking with it any secondary substance which has coated it or otherwise has been bound to it.
Described herein is a block set including a plurality of blocks having latently adhesive surfaces. Also described is a method of creating a bound structure from the individual blocks, including activating the adhesive of the latently adhesive surface of one or more of the blocks; and contacting an activated adhesive surface of the one or more blocks with another of said blocks, to bond the blocks together.

A ban on the burqa is possible, but a ban on the construction of minarets is unlawful, says the former director of the German Institute for Human Rights, Heiner Bielefeldt. He also considers the "hard core of Islamophobia" to be racist. Christian Rath sends us this interview
Here in this spot, near the penitentiary room where the sentences were handed down, on a miserably hot day in July 1865, Union Army Capt. Christian Rath raised his hands and clapped three times. On the third clap, soldiers knocked supports out from under a gallows, and four prisoners fell. Their bod
