Abstract:

An interface controller for managing operation of a plurality of devices via a wide area network is provided. Each of the devices has a unique communication protocol associated therewith. A network communications layer is provided for communicating with the plurality of devices via the wide area network and a client application associated with the plurality of devices. An information processing layer is also provided for communicating with the network communications layer. The information processing layer has a set of objects corresponding to each of the plurality of devices. The information processing layer is also for interacting with a data access layer on behalf of each of the plurality of devices using the corresponding objects. Interaction between the information processing layer and the data access layer on behalf of all of the plurality of devices is governed by a single set of rules.

Abstract:

The invention provides a system or method which allows a merchant to get payment status once the payment is done by a customer on any smart payment terminal where the payment process system is installed. Customers at a merchant can pay for their bill using payment terminals with credit cards or other forms of payments which can happen with or without involving the employee. Customers pay their bill using the payment terminal and once the payment is executed, a status of the payment is detected by the agent installed in the payment terminal which sends a message to a server. The message is then broadcast to the merchant using different notification protocols. Using the present invention, the payment can be processed completely external to the point of sales system. The merchant may use this system to enhance the operational flow of the business and help with the handling of multiple customers at one time. The present invention provides a fully integrated hospitality management solution for restaurants, retail, spa, ticketing, medical and other different markets. For example: in restaurants or at any other establishment; the customer is provided with a payment terminal. The employee can place an order and the customer can pay using said payment terminal. Once the payment status is detected by the agent, it will send a message to the server which then notifies the merchant and employee about the order that was placed.

Abstract:

A real-time mobile device monitoring and control system includes two or more mobile devices configured to run application software, the software configured to enable each of the two or more devices in real time to communicate their respective geo-location data to a web-based server; a database configured to affiliate the two or more mobile devices with their respective registered owners, the database storing the two or more registered owners' names and real-time geo-location data, the database further storing the two or more registered owners' demographic data including personal attributes, the demographic data capable of being updated in real time by a web-based server; and a web-based server configured to respond periodically to demographic and geographic information about the two or more registered owners of the two or more mobile devices by storing the same in the database in real time. A correlation engine therefor and another system also are disclosed.
