Systems And Methods For Providing Item Sales And Delivery Service
A method and system for providing item sales and delivery service (see FIG. ) consistent with the invention includes arranging over a communications system () a sales transaction of an item () between a seller () and a buyer (), sending the item through a delivery system directed toward the buyer, and making a payment for at least one of the following: a purchase price of the item, a delivery fee, and a fee for any other buyer-selected delivery-related services.
Providing item delivery service with a return component comprises arranging, by third party, a sales transaction of an item () between a seller () and a buyer () and delivering the item to the buyer utilizing a delivery system (). Next, providing item delivery service includes making a payment for at least one of the following: a purchase price of the item, a delivery fee, and a fee for any upon a determination by the buyer as to whether to keep the item after an inspection of the item. And finally, providing item delivery service includes returning the item to the seller through the delivery system if the buyer determined not to keep the item, the third party providing the buyer with the return label.
Systems And Methods For Providing Item Delivery Notification
A method and system for providing item delivery notification consistent with the invention includes sending a first notification to a recipient at a recipient notification address, the first notification indicating that an item has been placed in a delivery system directed to the recipient at a first address. Next, the method involves sending a second notification to a sender at a sender notification address if the item is successfully delivered to the recipient at the first address, the second notification indicating that the item has been delivered. Then the method involves sending a third notification to the sender at the sender notification address if the item is not successfully delivered to the recipient at the first address, the third notification indicating that the item has not been delivered. And finally, the method involves sending a fourth notification to the recipient at the recipient notification address if the item is not successfully delivered to the recipient at the first address, the fourth notification indicating that the item has not been delivered.
